Moeen Ali has a bit of a tickle at his first delivery from Mark Adair but lets the rest of the over go past his off stump.
This has gone from the sublime to the ridiculous by England. I love it so much. It's so very, very England, and that is to take nothing away from Ireland. Murtagh and Adair have exploited the conditions beautifully and they've preyed perfectly on all of England's top-order weaknesses.

I've lost track of who is coming in. Oh, it's Sam Curran. Well he's the last of the all-rounders. This pair have to get England to three figures.
Moeen Ali hasn't even faced a ball yet! Who is going to play?
Never mind the fourth day, third day tickets aren't looking so clever at the minute.
Mark Adair will continue. You try and get the ball out of his hands.

I’ve got tickets for the fourth day of the Edgbaston Test. Does anyone have any suggestions for what to do in Birmingham on a Sunday?
Paul in Essex
Stephan Shemilt
BBC Sport at Lord's
We've seen some pretty shoddy performances from England's top order, but this could top the lot. Hard hands, pushing at the ball, down the wrong line, no patience. It's like they have never seen the ball move before. Huge credit to Ireland, though. They have been superb. Is Lord's stunned? I'm not sure. It was always a possibility, wasn't it?
This is absolute carnage.

Woakes lbw b Murtagh 0 (Eng 42-6)
Umpire's call! Chris Woakes has to go!
Woakes played all around it - he's ending up hitting his front pad with his bat - and the technology reckons that ball is clipping the top of middle stump.
Vic Marks
Ex-England spinner on BBC Test Match Special
That might be high you know. But Ireland have the benefit of the finger having been raised.
He's not hit it.
Problem for Woakes is, it's been given out on the field...
Ooh, it's hit Chris Woakes quite high on the back pad...

Ireland are convinced that this is plumb.
Chris Woakes is out! Lbw!
Woakes makes the T-sign...

The most technically correct batsman apart from Joe Root is listed to go in at 7 - Woakes to open anyone?

Is this a World Cup hangover?
England's lowest Test score is 45, incidentally.
Still, Chris Woakes, who made a century against India in the last Test at Lord's, has come out to join Moeen.

Jonny Bairstow looked very uneasy all innings long.
Tim Murtagh could well bowl England out in a hurry here.

Jonny Bairstow left the gate wide open! This is astonishing stuff.
Bairstow b Murtagh 0 (Eng 42-5)
THROUGH THE GATE!
This is a very Jonny Bairstow way to get out, I'm afraid to say. He goes for a loose drive, leaves a giant gap between bat and pad, and Tim Murtagh isn't going to miss out on that. He sends the ball clattering into Bairstow's off stump and England are in a whole world of trouble.
