What an atmosphere.
England fans are now appealing after every single delivery.

Daniel Davies: We don't need a Steve Smith, we've got a Rory Burns.

Another mock appeal from the Hollies as Pattinson slings the last down leg and Burns can't tickle it fine.
James Pattinson pushes one very wide of off-stump and the well-oiled England fans in the Hollies Stand roar a mock appeal.
That's not a smart review in the end. The ball pitched a decent whack outside leg. Not out.
Australia lose a review.

Pattinson looks confident.

This looks close.
James Pattinson zips it on to Rory Burns' pads. Big appeal, not given.
Tim Paine takes a long while but sends it upstairs with two seconds to spare.
I think that might have pitched outside leg.
Burns 117, Stokes 22
A maiden for Pat Cummins.

This is a good position for England to be in with the new ball because they've got a couple of fellas who are right in. If England can just blunt Cummins and Pattinson, that stands them in good stead for tomorrow.
Rory Burns shapes to leave a ball on height and it ends up flicking off his thigh pad and away to the boundary.
But he was not playing a shot so that's not four leg-byes.
You're a tease, David.

David Langley: Wonder what Ricky Ponting makes of all these sub-fielders on the ground...
After one loosener from Pat Cummins, Australia take the new ball.
Game on.

Darren Peters: You could ask Aleem Dar his name today and i think he'd still need to refer it to the third Umpire.
Pat Cummins is into the attack but he's turned down the new ball for now.
Perhaps just having an over to loosen up before taking the new cherry?

Rory Burns sends a leading edge all along the ground through the covers and jogs a single.
Yeesh. The last keeps low and Ben Stokes just about repels it.

A tiny bit more hesitation and it would have done for Rory Burns.
Burns was comfortably back. On he goes.
