    BBC Test Match Special statistician

There have been 20 reviews in this Test match, with 10 overturned. That is the most reviews in a Test outside of the sub-continent and one short of the all-time record. The previous most was at Southampton last year against India but only one was overturned.

I think to an extent we’re reaping the issues from focussing so heavily on winning the World Cup during the last 4 years. Frankly, it was worth it. Would I accept getting thrashed in this series in exchange for that World Cup win? Every day of the week.

Australia need three wickets to win

At the start of the day I'd have thought if we saw Steve Smith bowling it would be a sign Australia were getting desperate and a big plus for England.

As it is Tim Paine seems to be doing it because he can.

It's now drinks and Geoffrey has just come onto TMS for the first time since Jason Roy's wicket...

Those boos have turned into chants of "he's got sandpaper in his hands", followed by "we saw you cry on the telly".

Smith his tossing the ball into the footholes. Woakes kicks it away.
