Buttler 19, Archer 9
This has not been pretty and it's fair to say England fans are not impressed.
Peter Siddle is coming back on so Mitchell Marsh will have to wait to get his five-for.

Rob Simkins: Time is up for Bairstow. Maybe others too. It’s embarrassing really. Was Woakes even watching the bowling? Professional cricketers really must do better on this deck. They are 200 light at least.
Four more to Jofra Archer...
This one was not clean. Tim Paine almost got across to this glove down the leg side.

Jofra Archer didn't even watch the ball go for four there. He might get a few more short balls to try at.
There's a good start from Archer. I think he had an idea this short ball was coming from Hazlewood. Archer has bowled a few, after all. The England bowler sees it early and swipes across the line for four.

Niall Kissick: This is almost a low as when Roston Chase took 8/60 against this team. Wholesale changes needed.
Jofra Archer does fancy himself as a batsman. He has said in the past he wants to bat as high as six in red-ball cricket. He has not shown any form with the bat so far in international cricket but today would be a good time to show it. It's gloomy and swinging but the pitch is good.
Mitchell Marsh has found three times more swing than any of his team-mates in this innings. It has been impressive. Jofra Archer doesn't look comfortable.
And Marsh is going to continue after drinks.
Mitchell Marsh has never taken a Test five-for.
He's one away.
It's drinks by the way. That's why you haven't had another wicket alert.

Jarleth Eaton: Was lucky enough to be at Edgbaston on 11 July for the World Cup semi-final. Best day of watching cricket I’ve ever had. Would I swap that win for pounding Australia 4/5-0 in The Ashes? Absolutely.
Buttler 19, Archer 0
Joe Root has his shoes off and his feet up on a railing while he slumps back in the dressing room.
England were 170-3 before he got out.
Don't hold back, Patrick.

Bowser: England chucking away a great position. Not even disappointed anymore. Complete and utter joke.
Philip Brooks: In a way I’m glad England are collapsing on a flat pitch, might force some changes rather than papering over the cracks.
Patrick Brennan: Mitchell Marsh getting four wickets is the final indignant nail in the rotten coffin of this England batting line-up.
Here's Sam Curran questionable shot to Mitchell Marsh...
Now Jos Buttler gets in a right tangle to a Hazlewood bouncer. He was going to leave but the ball comes back and hits him square in the chest. He's a hard man and doesn't flinch.

Craig Moore: This is just laughable from England.
John Monks: I want to write a tweet to sum up the current state of the England cricket team, but what's the point? It's like being back in the 90s.

Ah. OK. Leg stump in the end. But still very, very out.
