It was important they put in a real strong performance and they have done exactly what was required.

Very professional. It was an edgy start, you've got to expect after losing a match. It turned out to be a good toss to lose, if Bangladesh had batted first and got 280 it could have been a tricky chase.

The England players hang back and allow Jason Roy to lead the team off.

His 153 from 121 balls has set England up for a thumping win.

It has been a fine performance all-round.

ENGLAND WIN BY 106 RUNSpublished at 48.5 overs

Mustafizur c Bairstow b Archer 0 (Ban 280 all out)

    BACK. ON. TRACK.

Jofra Archer sees off Mustafizur with a brutal bouncer which hits the bat and loops up for Jonny Bairstow to take a simple catch.

That's the final wicket. England win by 106 runs.

I wonder if they'll do the West Indian tactic of blocking out the last few balls to make sure they don't all get out - to boost the net run-rate.

  7. Ban 280-9published at 48.4 overs

Last man Mustafizur Rahman comes out at number 11. You wouldn't blame him for being a little tentative with Archer steaming in.

He's only in his sixth game, Jofra Archer, and he didn't celebrate that wicket - just expected.

    Mehedi c Bairstow b Archer 12 (Ban 280-9)

    One to go.

As low-key as you like from England. Mehedi Hasan snicks behind a swish off Jofra Archer.

England's big fast bowler has a second wicket.

Jofra Archer returns. Can he wrap this up?

Hugo Flaxman: As a bowler it’s hard to see what Woakes really offers in this team. He is just so hittable. Lucky he is such a good lower order batsman!

England Collapses: In the last match Woakes took 3 wickets and 4 catches (only the third player to do so in an ODI). Seems a bit harsh to be writing him off just because he got tapped for a few in a situation where it made absolutely no difference to the result...

  12. Ban 279-8published at 48 overs

    Target 387

90 mph from Ben Stokes. All five of England's seamers have been up close to that today. Impressive.

Stokes bowls yorker after yorker, trying to get his fourth wicket, but this lower-order duo dig the ball out.

Luke John Davies: Why can't we have the zinger stumps that light up with the ordinary bails on top? You still get the flashes for the showmanship without the idiocy of bails not coming off when bowled.

  14. Ban 276-8published at 47 overs

    Target 387

This is like a football team nipping in with a late goal when 6-0 down. Mehedi Hasan adds another consolation boundary.

  15. Ban 270-8published at 46.3 overs

That's a good shot! Mehedi Hasan flicks one from Mark Wood off his nose and down for four, perfectly bisecting the fielders in the deep.

I'm not sure how much he meant that but let's give him the benefit of the doubt.

  16. Ban 266-8published at 46.2 overs

More excellent commitment from England in the field. Chris Woakes dives and flicks one back.

Bowler Mark Wood applauds from the middle.

Its the seventh consecutive time England have scored 300 and that's a remarkable stat. Even when they had a bit of an off day against South Africa they got 311.

  18. Ban 264-8published at 46 overs

Need 123 from 24 balls (not happening)

Can England take the final two wickets to make this big win even more comprehensive?

They need two wickets in the final four overs.

Fred Corbett: Re Tim Stanton [17:55] - I agree that Woakes looks a bit exhausted & flat, but England have shown they have venomous pace, dangerous bounce, 4 wicket taking seamers, dangerous batsmen all the way through, a very skilful leg-spinner and have been electric in the field.

Ben Stokes had a quiet day with the bat but he's nipped in with three wickets now. Here's one of them.
