The bails are flashing everywhere now, hit them at 85mph then they'll come off!

    Saifuddin b Stokes 5 (Ban 264-8)

Not doubt about this one! Full and straight from Ben Stokes and this one sends the bails flying, stumps splattering and lights flashing.

Mohammad Saifuddin is on his way.

It happened a few times in the IPL and it's because the zinger bails are heavier and the grooves have to be deeper to keep them on. I think it's mad the ball hits the stumps and they don't come off.

  4. Ban 264-7published at 45.3 overs

It has happened again! The ball hits the stumps but the bails don't fall off. This is becoming an issue.

It's only a slight flick with the ball deflecting off Mohammad Saifuddin's body and going onto middle stump but they should have fallen off.

I never understand why a fielder would try to take a catch when the keeper can take it with the gloves. They have been very good, England, a little bit nervy in the first five overs and when Roy got going you just felt it was going to be too much for Bangladesh.

  6. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 45 overs

    Mahmudullah c Bairstow b Wood 28 (Ban 261-7)

Seven down! Mahmuddulah skies one off the leading edge. It swirls in the wind towards fine leg but Jonny Bairstow runs back and takes the catch with his gloves.

    Clinical.

  7. Ban 259-6published at 44.3 overs

That's a very pessimistic outlook about a team that's about to win by 100 runs.

Tim Stanyon: Doesn't today confirm a few things: 1.Eng should always bat first if they win the toss 2.Chris Woakes is not bowling well at the moment - looks devoid of ideas 3. Rashid isn't really a mystery spinner anymore 4. Eng VERY dependent on an 80 plus start from opening pair

Mark Wood has replaced Chris Woakes. This is why...

  10. Ban 257-6published at 44 overs

Need 130 runs from 36 balls

Mahmudullah blocks the final ball of Stokes' over. It looks like Bangladesh are just batting this out to protect their net run-rate. They have been doing that for a while to be honest.

I think that hole is where they put all the wires for the stump mics.

  12. Ban 255-6published at 43.2 overs

Stokes to new batsman Mohammad Saifuddin...

Try again. He pulls out of his run-up.

Stokes has put his foot on one of those covers, the same thing David Willey put his foot through in the ODI series last month. It's not quite that bad this time.

Stokes going to stick to over the wicket and not take the risk.

It's on to him too quickly and Archer eyes on the ball. What I like about Stokes is that he starts applauding when someone takes a catch - like someone in the crowd. England are a high class team, I still think they can field better though.

  14. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 43.1 overs

    Mosaddek c Archer b Stokes 26 (Ban 254-6)

Another one gone! Ben Stokes nips in with another wicket when Mosaddek Hossain top edges a pull to Jofra Archer at fine leg.

That'll help his team-mates' figures in these closing overs.

I can't remember the last time I saw a series of yorkers from Chris Woakes. I wonder if that's something he's put away for now.

What Bangladesh are doing is just reminding everyone they have got plenty of skills and variation with the batting.

  17. Ban 254-5published at 43 overs

    Target 387

Bangladesh need 132 runs from 42 balls.

It's been a solid, professional performance by England. To get 386, it must be wonderful running into bowl with that on the scoreboard.

  19. Ban 253-5published at 42.5 overs

Pfft. Mosaddek Hossain hits Chris Woakes for yet another boundary. This isn't going to matter but it might be better to give Woakes a breather.

  20. Ban 242-5published at 42.1 overs

Chris Woakes, meanwhile, is not bowling his best. Runs are flowing from this end. Mahmudullah gets a gift on his hip that he flicks for four down to fine leg.
