It's a cross seam ball from Liam Plunkett, you see it quite often in the one-day game as you look to vary the pace, Mushfiqur trying to work it across, a tricky shot to play, and a good catch.

  2. wicket

    Mushfiqur c Roy b Plunkett 44 (Ban 169-3)

England get a breakthrough, just to settle any nerves that were sneaking in. Mushfiqur Rahim tries to work the ball to leg but it catches the leading edge and carries to Jason Roy at point.

Roy takes the catch and throws the ball with plenty of frustration into the air. I think he's happy to cling on to this one after his miss against Pakistan.

These two are the first Bangladesh pair to share six century partnerships in ODI cricket.

  4. Ban 168-2published at 28.4 overs

This makes a bit of a clunky noise off the bat but Shakib Al Hasan still gets his pull for four. It takes him into the nineties.

Rashid with 1-126 from 19 overs but he has had two catches dropped and he hit Quinton de Kock's stumps with one that didn't dislodge the bails.

Derek: Adil Rashid not looking like a premier spinner at the moment!

  7. Ban 162-2published at 28 overs

    Need 225 from 22 overs

Has Eoin Morgan lost count here? England might have just bowled a delivery with only 10 fielders on the field. Everyone is looking around a little bemused.

Bangladesh are starting to increase their intent. Mushfiqur plays a couple of attacking strokes but only adds two.

Two more come when he edges one where a slip would have been.

England are being held up by a left-hander here. It might be good to get their frontline off-spinner on. Oh...

  9. Ban 153-2published at 16:41 British Summer Time 8 June 2019

    Shakib 86, Mushfiqur 36

Twice Shakib chips the ball in the air in this over. The England fans get excited in the crowd but on both occasions the ball falls safely.

Plunkett responds with a bouncer that Shakib Al Hasan is furious is not called a wide. He holds his bat above his head as if to say "how can I reach that?!"

Plunkett grins as he walks past the umpire. Probably got away with one.

Bangladesh put too many in the slot which were dispatched into the river so England are making sure they don't throw up too many gifts.

Bangladesh have definitely tried to get after Adil Rashid today...

  12. Ban 149-2published at 26 overs

    Target 187

That'll help Bangladesh's cause. Another four, this time from Mushfiqur Rahim. It's punched over the top down the ground.

    10 from Rashid's over.

Bangladesh need that pretty much every time. The required run-rate is 9.91.

  13. Ban 143-2published at 25.1 overs

Adil Rashid is still yet to find his best form in this tournament. Shakib Al Hasan sweeps him for four.

    Thanks Jamie!

England would have liked a few more wickets - they've only taken the two below - but Bangladesh are way behind the required rate. England are still comfortable.

  15. Ban 139-2published at 25 overs

    Shakib 79, Mushfiqur 29

Wood is bowling like an express train and you could probably fit a train between the stumps and where Jonny Bairstow is standing way back with the gloves. Still some distance between the worms, England were 154-1 at the halfway point of their innings and to take you through the remainder of the contest, here's Matt Henry again.

It's been a fine innings from Shakib and here is another of his boundaries.

  17. Ban 136-2published at 24 overs

    Target 387

Lovely stroke from Shakib past the stumps, it bisects the advertising signs and the fielders. A seventh four for the left-hander

  18. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 16:29 British Summer Time 8 June 2019

    Mushfiqur on 25

It's harsh - it was high to Roy and going like a steam train. He got one outstretched hand to it and fell awkwardly. England don't need any more injury concerns - a reminder Jos Buttler not fielding today after a twinge during one of his remarkable sixes.

That is 89mph Mark Wood; there's certainly some pace in this England attack.

  20. Ban 126-2published at 23 overs

    Wood 1-32 from 5

Wood is nudging 90mph into the breeze here and his lifting delivery cannons off the top of Shakib's lid and away for a leg bye. Shakib then cuts a short one which flies towards Rashid at third man but it is too quick for him and away for the left-hander's sixth four.
