  1. Pak 126-3published at 26 overs

    Target 337

Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed plays out four dot balls. That's a wicket maiden for Kuldeep Yadav.

The polar opposite of what Pakistan needed.

They are currently 41 runs behind the DLS par score.

The sweep is always a shot batsmen turn to when they are not picking the deliveries out of the hand. Simple catch and this is the best we have seen of Kuldeep. He is bowling just a little quicker. Fakhar will be desperately disappointed because he had done the hard work.

  3. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 25.2 overs

    Fakhar c Chahal b Kuldeep 62 (Pak 126-3)

    Not well, apparently.

Kuldeep Yadav tosses it up, Fakhar Zaman goes to sweep against the spin but doesn't get over it and top edges the ball straight to short fine leg round the corner.

That is a very soft dismissal and leaves Pakistan in heaps of trouble with two new batsmen at the crease and potentially needing to attack to get up to the DLS par score.

    Cheers, Tom.

Fire up the abacus! Duckworth-Lewis-Stern could well be in play. An extra level of intrigue to an already absorbing encounter.

How will Pakistan go from here?

With Hafeez there is always the issue that his running between the wickets is not as quick as Babar was.

    Target 337

Mohammad Hafeez is the new batsman. I say new, he's 38. Older than Ashley Cole and Ryan Gosling. Christina Aguilera too.

Mind you he doesn't mess about, a few balls to get his eye in and then wooooffff, slogged into the stands for a massive six!

Babar did not read this. He's been castled and what a breakthrough.

  12. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 24 overs

    Babar b Kuldeep 48 (Pak 117-2)

Wow! India get the breakthrough they needed and it's an absolute ripper of a leg break from Kuldeep, brings Babar forwards and then turns and crashes into the stumps.

A huge celebration from the players and the fans alike.

  13. Pak 115-1published at 23.3 overs

Big in the lowlands? Fakhar tickles another single, can he wind up for another big boundary in this over?

On a bus from Maastricht (NL) to Brussels Airport listening to TMS. The background noise from both fans is just incredible. I feel this World Cup has had a mixed review in the media, but I think it has been amazing. So much love for TMS. Come on Pakistan!

Chance! No. A clean hit may have had Fakhar in trouble but the batsman runs in safely enough. That's the 100 partnership.

That's a massive shot and he absolutely killed the spin on it. What a smash - 88 metres.

That is HUGE from Babar Azam! Down on one knee, a mammoth slog sweep of 88m into the crowd for six of the best.
