Ending our CWC Roadtrip today, third game in a week and we haven't seen a drop of rain, so so lucky. Hoping for a good score from West Indies and an epic run chase from Bangladesh.

A good stop at short fine leg restricts Evin Lewis after he swivel pulls a short ball from Mehidy.

Offffft. That's a beautiful shot from Shai Hope to end the over. It's a tad short from Mehidy again and he rocks back and carves it to the cover boundary.

    WI 67-1published at 15.2 overs

Evin Lewis is starting to time the ball much better. He creams a cover drive off Mehidy for a couple.

Mohammad Saifuddin has taken a blow to his hand doing the fielding - he signals he's fine to carry on after a brief stoppage - but the umpires have decided we're going to take a hydration break mid-over so he can get it checked over.

    Thanks Jamie.

It's been slow progress from West Indies but if they can build a platform for Shimron Hetmyer, Andre Russell and Jason Holder then we could have some late innings fireworks.

Here's Evin Lewis with the first six of the day - and here's Callum Matthews to take up the commentary.

One of the shortest deliveries we have seen - Mustafizur hurling it down in his own half and it loops high and wide down the leg side, only the third wide of the innings. The left-arm Mustafizur tries his luck from round the wicket and Hope looking assured now, driving stylishly through the covers but there is a man on the cover boundary and he is restricted to only a single.

These two need to build on this partnership. The longer they stay around the easier it will become.

Fans still streaming into the ground - what would your opening gambit be if you were sat next to this guy? 'do you think they were right to bowl first?' There is an lbw appeal from Mehdiy as Lewis sweeps, but after a lengthy discussion Bangladesh decide against using their one review. Going down the leg side I think.

  11. WI 53-1published at 13 overs

    Lewis 32, Hope 15

A fine stroke from Lewis to bring up the fifty, a high backlift and launching Mortaza high over mid-wicket for a one-bounce four. The skipper has sent down 29 dot balls but also gone for two fours and the only six of the match to date.

This is not the type of start West Indies will have wanted. They'll have wanted to be on at least 60-70 by now.

  13. WI 45-1published at 12 overs

Mehidy with 34 wickets from his 32 matches completes a second over without conceding a boundary and umpire Rod Tucker has an avuncular word with the Bangladesh team for throwing the ball in on the bounce. Not that much of a crime surely?

    Let's see some more boundaries.

  15. 6 runs

    WI 42-1published at 11 overs

    Lewis 24, Hope 13

More like it from Lewis, opening the shoulders and launching Mortaza down the ground for the first six of the day, measured at 73 metres. He is then trapped on the pad attempting a hook, appeared to be quite close at first glance, but only a half-hearted appeal from the skipper and they go through for two leg byes.

That is the lowest scoring powerplay of this World Cup so far.

  17. WI 32-1published at 10 overs

The first look at spin as Mehidy comes in for the final over of the powerplay. There is a slip in place and the batsmen play him watchfully.

There are a number of innovations for this World Cup from the host broadcasters, but we don't have the rev counter, which I always enjoyed - and wondered how they measured it. Remember How Do They Do That with Des Lynam? Bring it back.

Fifty overs is a long time and sides are starting to revert to that notion and realise that they can catch up at the end.

Just the single off the Mortaza over and the wily 35-year-old has 0-9 from his opening five overs.
