    England need 57

Ben Stokes jams down on a screaming Yorker. Sri Lanka are making England earn every run.

    It's 57 needed from 60 balls. Cripes.

That was lucky! There was a slip in a moment ago for Woakes.

But to be fair, Stokes doesn't have one in because he's set.

Perhaps fittingly, Ben Stokes gets to 50 with a streaky edge which would have gone straight to first or second slip...

That was stupid, daft. Moeen had just hit the ball for six. There was no need for him to try and hit that boundary. That is dumb cricket.

You are now exposing players who have barely batted to two overs of Lasith Malinga. That's why Moeen Ali's shot is so pathetic.

Time for another poll. Will England win? Thumbs up for yes, thumbs down for no...

    Oh dear.

    Oh dear, oh dear...

Just six the ball before, just out this time as Mooen flat hits a shot to long on, Udana comes around and takes the catch two steps inside the boundary and keeps his feet and his head. Not the best bit of play...

That's the way to relieve that pressure! Moeen drops to one knee and wafts a beautiful flat, flayed sweep which hits the sponge and is therefore just about six...

Really good scrap here. I like it! It does however, underline the importance of Jason Roy. Any side would miss a world class opener in prime form. Vince is a beautiful batsman, one for the purists. But him and Roy are worlds apart in terms of performance and consistently big scoring.

Moeen then plays a drive straight out of the textbook but it's straight to the fielder. Every dot ball ramps up the pressure now.

England need 69 from 72 balls.

That was an airy-fairy shot from Moeen.

  20. Eng 163-5published at 37.3 overs

Been very nip and tuck for the last few overs but there's only so much Ben Stokes can take, eventually he has to have a pre-meditated waft and run, coming down the track to batter away into the off side for one.

It's catching too, as next ball Moeen goes into his bag for the big shot and slices it away. To safety.

    Steady now!
