Ban 192-4published at 39.4 overs
Sensible from Mahmudullah. Start having a swing. He hits this in the air near to extra cover but it's safe enough. Four runs. It's getting loud again. That tells you it's a good period for Bangladesh.

If these two can keep batting to near the end then 260 is a real possibility.
Mushfiqur 61, Mahmudullah 11
Clever batting from Mushfiqur Rahim. He knows exactly where the field is and steps across to Rashid Khan and sweeps to the right of short fine leg. There's no one in the deep who can get close to cutting it off.
If Mushy stays there he could get his side towards 250. That would be a good score on this pitch.

Goodness knows how Afghanistan allowed Mahmudullah to run three.
Mahmudullah runs a three! Poor chap. It comes thanks to some shocking fielding. There's nearly an overthrow from the overthrow. The ball gets thrown from the deep on one side, to the other and then back again.

Afghanistan have seven overs of high-quality spin left but need to find five overs from somewhere else.
Mushfiqur 54, Mahmudullah 9
Mahmudullah now uses his bat to push off for a run like he's using a crutch. He might need the real thing in the morning.
To be fair he is supporting Mushfiqur at the other end. As long as it doesn't require a sprint, he's able to get through for a run.
Mahmudullah is getting through these singles but not particularly gracefully. It's like the annual comedy act on Strictly but he does have a fair excuse.

230 will be enough against Afghanistan as they try to blast their way to victory rather than mix and match

Something had to give. He's a small man but he's belted it high over the boundary. A magnificent blow.
This had to come. Mushfiqur slams a big six down the ground. He knew he had to try and get things going again.
It takes him to 50 from 56 balls and wakes the crowd back up.
Run rate 4.5
Rashid keeps Mahudullah pinned on the crease with three dots to end the over. He knows Mahmudullah isn't going to come charging down the pitch in his condition.
This is all playing into Afghanistan's hands.
12 overs since a boundary. The last 11 overs have only cost 31 runs.
We're back under way again with Rashid Khan continuing to twirl away.

While the physio gets to work, let's look back on the last wicket to fall...
The physio is back on again to try and get Mahmudullah into a better conditions.
Mushfiqur 45, Mahmudullah 5
Little Mushfiqur Rahim loves to knock the ball around and sprint ones and twos. That's not going to be possible with Muhmudullah at the other end.
Muhmudullah hooks a short ball aggressively but can't beat the fielder in the deep.
To give you an idea how Afghanistan have slowed Bangladesh's scoring-rate...
