This is silly. He should go off.

    Mahmudullah is hobbling badly.

  4. Ban 157-4published at 34 overs

Mushfiqur doesn't really help his partner and calls him through for a single at the end of the over. Mahudullah just about gets to the other end. Chris Gayle would beat him in a race here.

Mahmudullah doesn't look good here. The one person you don't want to bat with in this Bangladesh team if you've got a sore calf is Mushfiqur. He's been involved in a fair few run outs in recent years because he's much faster than his team-mates.

Now Mahmudullah takes a tablet and puts his helmet back on. That suggests he'll continue but he's definitely still limping badly.

He tries to test it out with a little jog on the spot and closes his eyes, grits his teeth and looks towards the sky sky afterwards.

    Not good.

The physio pulls up the batsman's trouser and that reveals some heavy strapping on his calf. That looks to be the problem. The physio adds more bandages. His full lower leg will be covered soon.

    Ban 156-4published at 33.5 overs

Mahmudullah does get his single this time but he's in trouble. He pulls up as he gets to the non-striker's end, hobbles and grimaces.

He waves to the dressing room and the physio comes out.

  9. Ban 155-4published at 33.4 overs

Mushfiqur screams "no" after more sharp fielding. There isn't a single there.

Tamim Iqbal said in a press conference that Bangladesh had been listening to TMS in their dressing room during a match and changing their tactics according to what we were saying!

  11. Ban 153-4published at 33.1 overs

You can see Afghanistan sense their opening. Three fielders scurry after the ball when it is dropped into the off side. They stop the quick single.

Sho: We've got the two experienced guys in the middle now so hopefully they can take us to 280 which should be enough. Has to be said Soumya has had a shocking tournament.

Afghanistan want wickets. Rashid Khan is coming back on. This is a crucial period.

This is taking the same shape as Saturday's game where Afghanistan got the squeeze on and India couldn't get it off the square.

Just 20 runs for two wickets in the last eight overs.

    Mushfiqur 39, Mahmudullah 1

Mushy ticks over as he always does.

This Afghanistan comeback is good news for England fans. A reminder Bangladesh will be just a point behind them in the table if they win this.

  17. Ban 152-4published at 32.3 overs

Blimey. Mahmudullah plays a shocking loose drive to Gulbadin first up. It has gone quite at the Hampshire Bowl.

You do have to ask in the context of this tournament would that nick on leg stump have been enough to knock the zing bails off?

Mahmudullah joins Mushfiqur in the middle. This is now looking a little tricky for Bangladesh. Afghanistan have fought back brilliantly.
