It's absolutely roasting today, and Lasith Malinga is still sat up in the dressing room in a full tracksuit, shirt and jumper combo. Lovely stuff.

By the looks of things, Imran Tahir is loosening up just beyond the boundary.

It's hard to disagree with Vaughan's original comments though, he was saying that if England don't find a way to start beating teams on slow wickets by being more controlled and reading the situation better, they will go out. That's not jumping on someone's throat, it's just a fact Jonny!

Very, very tidy from Dwaine Pretorius.

The very definition of a tick over over.

Dwaine Pretorius continues - oh, and Kusal Mendis drives him just short of the man at mid-wicket!

It's loose, one hand coming off the bat as he pushes forward, and he's lucky that Rassie Van Der Dussen is a little deep.

Angelo Mathews has enough experience. He should be saying 'get four singles from an over'. At the moment South Africa will be content that they are just bowl the ball without any pressure.

    Ah, Wahab.

My favourite cricketing grump. He's had some terrific spells in this World Cup.

Angelo Mathews calls Kusal Mendis through for a quick single. It's tight, but he makes it.

    Time for a hydration break.

This is a good comeback from South Africa, turning the screw after that earlier flurry of runs.

There's just a single from this latest Pretorius over.

That wasn't what Andile Phehlukwayo was aiming for, floating one into Kusal Mendis' pads, and he's whipped gloriously square for four.

A wicket from nothing. Poor shot from Kusal Perera, his feet were nowhere.

It is not positive footwork. When you talk about positive batting, it just means getting your feet into a positive position and then you can defend or attack. Kusal Perera's feet have done nothing there.

    Thirties don't win matches.

    WICKETpublished at 11.3 overs

    Perera b Pretorius 30 (SL 72-3)

    Out of nowhere!

It's as regulation as regulation deliveries can be from Dwaine Pretorius, a length delivery and Kusal Perera can't resist. He chases it but his feet are stuck in concrete and he ends up bottom edging the ball onto his stumps. They get splattered and Pretorius goes wheeling away in delight.
