Target 244
"Wheeeey," shouts Phil Tufnell and a couple of thousand more at Lord's. Lyon bowls a rare bad ball and Sodhi hoists it over short fine leg for four.
Which of those three do you reckon was best?
Ish Sodhi is the new batsman.
Smith's was the third brilliant grab today.
While we wait for the new batsman, here's a quick look at that stunning Steve Smith catch from a few minutes ago...

Pretty good bowling by Lyon. plopping it outside off stump and Neesham probably feels he has to go for it. That was pretty regulation. They are suffocating, New Zealand are not going anywhere.
Neesham c&b Lyon 9 (NZ 131-7)
Another one gone.
Jimmy Neesham decides he may as well have a swipe but top edges the ball into the sky. Bowler Nathan Lyon tells everyone to stay out of the way and takes the catch.
Three wickets to go for Australia.

As an Australian I'm flabbergasted as to the stupidity of the English crowd booing Smith and Warner. You should know Aussies love it when their backs are up against the wall. Why provoke them??

That has crossed my mind, Bowser.
Mitchell Starc has now bounced one into Mitch Santner's grille. Nasty.

Bowser: Australia are gonna win the World Cup and then batter us 5 zip in the Ashes aren't they?

Fair play to the Aussies, they have really played themselves into this tournament.
Target 244
So New Zealand will stay third if they lose this on 11 points.
Pakistan are fourth on nine, with England fifth on eight and Bangladesh sixth on seven.
If England beat India tomorrow then they will just be a point behind New Zealand when they meet on Wednesday.
An England win at Chester-le-Street next week and a big win for Pakistan against Bangladesh would knock the Black Caps out.

Incredible way this game has panned out.
Australia seemed to be treating the early stages of this New Zealand run-chase as a chance to try out all their occasional bowlers for the challenges that await in the semi-finals.
It's actually ended up putting them in the box seat as the fringe collection have come to the main stage.
New Zealand are now in real danger of going into their last match against England on Wednesday at Chester-le-Street needing a result as much as anyone else.
Need 118 runs to win from 84 balls
Mitchell Santner is the new batsman. There are some glum faces on the New Zealand balcony.
Santner leaves his first two balls, with the required rate nearly 8.5, and then steals a single.
It's that time when New Zealand start thinking about net run-rate.

Lee Fergusson: Wow...absolutely superb catch by Steve Smith
Cam Macculloch: Why don't the England fans get over the ball tampering with Smith and Warner. They were just caught. It's has been going on for years
Australia are closing in. They're looking at another convincing victory.
Starc now has 21 wickets in this tournament. The next best 17. He's very good.

A full goalkeeper dive, Latham got a good piece of it, and Starc does it again!
Another great catch!
Australia are all over New Zealand.
Latham c Smith b Starc 14 (NZ 125-6)
My word. The catching in this game!
Steve Smith now pulls off a beauty at short mid-wicket, diving away to his right. He plucks the ball out of the air one-handed to give Mitchell Starc yet another wicket.
Tom Latham slumps off.
Starc is back again.

I have a real problem with the booing of Steve Smith and David Warner - there aren't enough of them!
