  1. Ban 38-1published at 8 overs

    Target 316

Shakib into double figures already with his second four, nicely clipped off his pads, but Amir beats him with a fine delivery that bounces more than the left-hander expected. Should be a good contest.

An early reprieve for Soumya but he was to depart in the sixth over

  3. Ban 32-1published at 7 overs

Two hundreds and four fifties in the tournament for Shakib and he pulls Hafeez emphatically through mid-wicket to move above Rohit Sharma as the leading runscorer in the tournament.

    WICKETpublished at 5.5 overs

    Soumya c Fakhar b Amir 22 (Ban 26-1)

He had just collected his fourth boundary but it was one uppish stroke too many for the spirited Soumya and it very nicely pouched low at square cover.

So to recap, Australia, India, England and New Zealand are confirmed as the four semi-finals for the World Cup.

All that is left to be decided now is which order the top two will finish.

Second-place India play Sri Lanka on Saturday with leaders Australia meeting South Africa later that afternoon.

The group winners will meet New Zealand in the first semi-final on Tuesday and second meets third on Thursday.

  9. Ban 22-0published at 5 overs

    Target 316

A small infant wrapped in a Bangladesh flag and looking frankly a little confused watches on as Soumya lofts Hafeez over extra cover for his third boundary.

  10. Final to be on free-to-air TV if England get therepublished at 15:08 British Summer Time 5 July 2019

As we mentioned earlier, Sky have announced they will broadcast the World Cup final on 14 July on free-to-air television if England get there.

    More in our story here.

  11. Ban 15-0published at 4 overs

    Target 316

Bangladesh are showing the sort of intent we expected to see at the start of the Pakistan innings. There are not many coming off the middle of the bat though and Tamim lashes at one from Amir that skews off the edge and falls just short of Sarfaraz diving to his left.

That is an unbelievable delivery! It was a moon ball. It was fifth XI club cricket.

  13. Ban 13-0published at 3 overs

    Target 316

Now we are going to have to get this one clipped up, Hafeez has delivered this 20 feet up in the air, Soumya went out of his crease to go after it and slapped it away towards mid-wicket, luckily for him, because he may never have lived it down, it evades the fielder and brings him four.

Before he was dropped, Soumya had hit Amir over cover for the first four of the innings.

  16. NEW ZEALAND INTO SEMI-FINALSpublished at 1.5 overs
    Breaking

All over as far as the semi-finals are concerned. It was a slim chance wasn't it, whether they had to win by 316 or 308.

  17. dropped catch

    Dropped catchpublished at 1.4 overs

Left-arm pace from Mohammad Amir, white sun scream smeared on the non-bearded areas of his face and he has a catch put down by Haris at slip. And they have scored seven already as well.

  19. Ban 0-0published at 1 over

    Target 316

A maiden to start. Skipper Sarfaraz is out there leading the side and keeping wicket despite suffering a fearful blow on the elbow at the non-striker's end.

  20. Postpublished at 14:54 British Summer Time 5 July 2019

Hafeez will open the bowling. It's not the most attacking field ever seen in cricket history, only the one slip.
