Sounds extreme but you try and get something delivered on a Sunday.

The view out of the back of the box. This is insane.

I'm genuinely pleased NZ are batting. Let's get at 'em.

Phew, I'm pleased that England lost the toss! If it all goes horribly wrong, no one can blame Morgan for making the wrong decision.
Ruth Brooksbank, feeling nervous in Bradford
Utterly bizarre, utterly British.

New Zealand captain Kane Williamson: "We'll bat first. It's a tough decision - it's a bat first surface but if you look above, it adds confusion. The semi-final was a really good game of cricket and a tough battle for the boys. It's given us confidence for today."

Geoff Hughes: I am in Queenstown NZ. It snowed heavily today - the local ski fields' car parks were full. The cricket is the main news story here - then netball in Liverpool - then All Blacks in Argentina. Kiwis are anxious but also believe they can win.
That call was met with a stony silence by the largely English crowd...
Here comes the TOSS!

Any chance they could delay the start till 11, that's when the pub opens.

Listening to TMS whilst sitting in the Cretan heat waiting for the game to start. It's 12.00 here so it's good form to start drinking to calm the nerves.

Some chaps have jumped out of a plane and landed on the nursery ground just behind Lord's. Full World Cup final treatment.

Jofra Archer has been great. That dismissal of Aaron Finch in the semi-final helped England's confidence levels go through the roof and Australia were always chasing the game after that.
His skill level is outstanding - that knuckle ball to get rid of Glenn Maxwell was awesome.

The entire road on the way to Lord’s has been shut off. There’s kids playing cricket, people posing for photos... it’s so wonderfully weird.

I hope we get a good game because it could end up a bit one-sided if the surface doesn't do much. The England artillery could then arrive and New Zealand may not be able to create chances.
But if New Zealand can get a couple of early wickets, there is a chance. I would bowl first - it could be New Zealand's best way to win.
It's the WORLD CUP FINAL man!

Absolutely incredible on St John's Wood Road, which has been closed so punters can pour down. Drummers, dancers and massive deckchairs. Monty Panesar, Clare Connor and Hamish Marshall. Pleads for tickets. It sounds silly to say, but it's only just struck me how big this is.
