It's a measure of how hard it's been for the Durham batsmen today that new skipper Cameron Bancroft has now faced 100 balls for 16 runs.

The wicket is not one to drive on, as the three batsmen who have been bowled will testify to. This is very much a game in which they must be patient and watchful.

Ollie Robinson has taken two of the wickets with some tight, seaming lines of attack. He has 2-13 from 12 overs.

    Middx 110-1 v Lancs

Lancashire have been a bit becalmed so far in this session so their talisman is coming back into the attack.

Another tidy maiden, but a bit less movement on offer with this older and softer ball.
