Connell b Knight 1 (WI 131-9 all out)

Shamilia Connell misses a straight one from Heather Knight - and shakes hands with the England skipper. With Stafanie Taylor unable to bat, England have romped to another big victory.

Just catching up with these tumbling West Indies wickets...

  3. WI 131-8published at 37 overs

Shamilia Connell, who prefers to bat bare-headed, is out at number 10 - but with Stafanie Taylor still in hospital, safe to say England are one wicket from victory.

It was messy running and a fairly abject West Indies innings is coming to an end.

  5. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 36,4 overs

    Ramharack run out (Jones/Taylor) 2 (WI 130-8)

Barely a need for a reference to the third umpire as a stop-start-yes-no single ends with Karishma Ramharack well short of her ground, and Sarah Taylor removing the bails.

    Another run-out coming up...

Western Storm general manager Lisa Pagett: Just back online after a wedding, to see Fran Wilson has been doing Fran Wilson things again! What a legend!

  8. WI 129-7published at 36 overs

Afy Fletcher pushes Heather Knight for a single to the cover sweeper - she may have an eye on a red-inker here. Ramharack is off the mark with a single, and Fletcher defends her stumps as though her life depends on it.

With the required rate literally in excess of 36 runs per over, I'm going to stop writing the target score, if that's OK?

It's good to see how well oiled this England side is. They don't let up.

  10. WI 127-7published at 35 overs

So, West Indies are seven down, effectively eight.

Karishma Ramharack is the new bat - yet another left-hander. Now that is one area where England are lacking - coach Mark Robinson spoke recently about the lack of left-handed top-order batters, even down to the teenage age group sides.

Two wickets - or rain - or four overs - will bring this match to its inevitable conclusion.

Stafanie Taylor is still at the hospital and awaiting the results of her scan so it's highly unlikely we'll see her come out to bat.

  12. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 34.2 overs

    King c Wyatt b Gunn 26 (WI 127-7)

Just after crashing a boundary, Stacy-Ann King tries another big hit and lofts the recalled Jenny Gunn to the mid-wicket fence where Danni Wyatt takes the catch.

Do you think the umpires have just had enough? The players were walking off and shaking hands.

That was one of the most bizarre things I've seen from the umpires. It's almost like the ground staff have said no it's not raining.

  15. Postpublished at 21:09 British Summer Time 13 June 2019

... and with the players walking off and shaking hands, the umpires call them back on and put the stumps back in! Weird.

  16. rain stops play

As if from nowhere, the rain has arrived and the umpires take the players off...

  17. WI 123-6published at 34 overs

    Target 267 (39 overs)

To be honest, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if it did rain now. England would win by a country mile on DLS, and West Indies' limp towards the end of their innings would be over.

Heather Knight spins down her third over, just two singles and a wide from it.

    Charlotte Edwards
Ex-England captain on BBC Test Match Special

Where will the Ashes be won and lost?

A lot will depend on how well we bowl, the Australia batting line-up is strong, it has a lot of depth and experience to it. I've still got some questions about the England middle order, Danni Wyatt hasn't really performed at six. I like the fact Kate Cross is our third seamer.

  19. WI 120-6published at 33 overs

    Smith 8-0-20-1

Bryony Smith to complete her spell - the left-handed King survives an lbw appeal but West Indies are just plodding on towards certain defeat.

On your ODI debut, to take 1-20 from eight overs without conceding a boundary... Bryony Smith, take a bow. Have England unearthed another spinner?
