Chris Rushworth completes his 10-wicket haul - uprooting the middle stump of Charlie Morris - and Durham have their victory at last.

He takes 6-39 in Worcestershire's second innings and the hosts win by 109 runs to extend their unbeaten run to six and move up to fourth in Division Two.

Not out batsman Brett D'Oliveira ends on 45, short of a 14th first-class half-century.

The final session is up and running at the Ageas Bowl, where the pitch isn't offering much to Kent with a new-ish ball.

Just one wicket fell between lunch and tea, with Aneurin Donald (38*) and Keith Barker (28*) hoping to steer Hampshire towards the draw.

Hants are 119 runs ahead as things stand, with Joe Denly bowling some more leg-spin.

The players aren't taking tea at Chester-le-Street, with Durham still hunting for the wicket which will bring them victory over Worcestershire.

Chances are being created but with Pears batsman Brett D'Oliveira and Charlie Morris both settled you can forgive the home players for getting a bit jittery.

There's a big cloud over the ground and an unlikely 119 runs are needed for Worcestershire.

Worcestershire's final pair of batsman are being very stubborn, certainly not throwing the towel in.

Brett D'Oliveira (37*) and Charlie Morris (6*) have lasted 10 overs together now, with the Pears now 128 runs from what would be a spectacular victory at Durham.

Surely not?

Well this latest partnership between Aneurin Donald and Keith Barker has gone some way towards securing Hampshire a draw with Kent.

They lead by 119 now and even if Kent get the remaining four wickets in the first over after tea, they'd need to get 120 runs in a maximum of 28 overs.

The job is almost done for the hosts, you feel.

The top three looks a little different now after Essex's win and Somerset's defeat by Yorkshire. Whatever happens in Hampshire's ongoing match with Kent in Southampton, they cannot climb higher heading in to the break for the T20 Blast. Kent could replace them in fourth with victory at the Ageas bowl, though.

Four rounds of fixtures remain. These two matches could prove to be particularly decisive:

• Somerset v Essex beginning on 23 September

That's the 50 partnership for Aneurin Donald and Keith Barker off 107 balls, as Hampshire eek slowly towards a possible draw with Kent.

It's arguably been the most important partnership of the game, with the hosts now leading by 118 runs.

Kent might be wishing they'd kept plugging away with the old ball, as Ollie Rayner and Joe Denly were at least causing some issues.

Another victory for Essex, six out of six at Chelmsford, and six wickets for Simon Harmer who now has 65 in the Championship this season.

If Harmer is the primary reason for Essex going top Sir Alastair Cook is a strong second. This was a better pitch for batting than most here this season but his innings of 84 and 83 were crucial to the outcome.

Essex now face three away games out of four in the run in and the next match at Canterbury will be far from easy.

Warwickshire, with a depleted batting line up, fought hard in this match. They are still to play all of the top three and but with promising youngsters and senior players returning they should avoid relegation.

Hampshire's lead passes 100 with an effortless drive from Aneurin Donald finds the boundary.

They're 246-6 but by no means out of the woods - a Kent wicket or two would quickly pull the game right back in their favour.

But Donald (32*) and Keith Barker (21*) are looking solid for now.

Worth pointing out that Alex Blake has replaced Heino Kuhn for Kent as a concussion replacement.

Batsman Kuhn took a Fidel Edwards bouncer to the neck yesterday, which clearly left him in some discomfort.

Will be interesting to see how that impacts Kent run-chase, if and when it starts.

Simon Harmer has Michael Burgess stumped for 64 to finish with figures of 6-75 and clinch victory for Essex, who are now top of the County Championship.

Fortress Chelmsford strikes again.

Kent captain Joe Denly is getting some turn on the Ageas Bowl pitch, while from the other end Darren Stevens is keeping things incredibly tight - with eight maidens from 19 overs.

Hampshire's Aneurin Donald is playing very within himself as they look to stop the visitors from pinching a victory here.

Their lead is 74 runs.

Olly Stone edges Simon Harmer to the wicketkeeper and Essex are one wicket from going top of the pile.

That's a fifth wicket for the South African spinner as well.
