England have named their squad for the one-off Women's Ashes Test against Australia which they desperately need to win. Their hopes of winning the multi-format series against Australia are all but over after losing the three one-day internationals.
But they've been handed a major boost after emerging left-arm spinner Kirstie Gordon and veteran fast bowler Katherine Brunt were both passed fit.

It's been a good morning for the Australia XI at Canterbury as they took the final four England Lions wickets for just 35 runs, bowling the hosts out for 267.
The most notable contribution from the perspective of a potential England call-up came from Surrey all-rounder Sam Curran who made 50 before being stumped by Australia captain Tim Paine while trying to take on the left-arm spin of Jon Holland. Curran's having quite a match after taking 6-95 in the first innings.
It's been a good response from the Lions as Jamie Porter had Joe Burns caught for nine just before the interval.

It looked as though Hampshire were going to comfortably bat to safety and perhaps even set up a mini run-chase for Kent later on. Then 184-2 became 186-5.
Either side of Ollie Rayner getting rid of Ian Holland for 69, England batsman Joe Denly showed he can do more than just score 154 on a batting wicket by using his leg-spin to get rid of Rilee Rossouw for 66 and Gareth Berg for a duck.
All of the momentum is with Kent now. The Hampshire lead is just 50.

BBC EssexWith Somerset's defeat by Yorkshire at Headingley, Essex are now poised to take over at the top of the County Championship table ahead of the T20 break.
Although Michael Burgess and Henry Brookes shared an enterprising half-century stand before lunch there looks to be no way back for Warwickshire after Simon Harmer took four wickets in 20 deliveries to effectively end their hopes of batting through the day. All this after he dropped a relatively simple chance at second slip.
Essex look like making it six wins out of six at Chelmsford. It has been an extraordinary run that might set up a second title win in three years.

Durham started like a house on fire this morning, with Chris Rushworth snaring both Ross Whiteley and Callum Ferguson to complete his five-for. But the visitors have fought back through Ed Barnard (42) and Ben Cox (40), with the Worcestershire duo adding an unbroken 83.

Henry Brookes goes down swinging for Warwickshire but the umpire takes a while to give it!
He initially shook his head at the Essex appeals but appears to consult the square-leg umpire, who confirms Brookes did get bat on Matt Quinn's ball, which goes through to sub keeper Will Buttleman.
An odd dismissal but Warwickshire are 163-7 - Brookes scoring 27 off 25 - and delaying the inevitable now.

The ball keeps low and gets him on the pad as he looks to cut the ball - not what was required for Hampshire after already losing two quick wickets.
The hosts are now 186-5 - ahead by just 40 - and Kent can certainly smell blood.

Yorkshire's captain Steve Patterson steps forward on the fourth morning to complete victory for his side, finishing things by trapping Craig Overton lbw for 23. His four wickets this morning took him to the milestone of 400 in first-class cricket.
More importantly, his team have completed an emphatic victory over the Championship leaders. Somerset captain Tom Abell won the toss and chose to bowl in this match at Headingley. Yorkshire then scored 520.
Oh dear. It happens though.
Should Essex complete victory over Warwickshire later then they'll be the new pacesetters in Division One.

The South African attempts a pull shot to a short ball but it bounces more than expected and a top edge is taken by Daniel Bell-Drummond.
It's Denly's third wicket of the season and Rossouw goes for 66, with Hampshire 185-3.

BBC NewcastleDurham's Chris Rushworth is in his testimonial year. One of the people who have written about him in his official brochure is the Worcestershire opener Daryl Mitchell.
Mitchell says Jagerbombs, not fully-cooked chicken and Chris Rushworth "with a new pill in his hand at 11am" are the three things that keep him awake at night.
Rushworth has got Mitchell in all four Championship innings against Durham this season. The sequence 0,9,0,1. Mitchell was the first batsman in the Worcestershire second innings to fall last night as he was bowled in Rushworth's second over.
The bowler, who took five wickets in his first six overs at New Road this season, then removed Riki Wessels and Josh Dell for ducks, in a spell of 3-1 in 11 balls.
This morning he was at it again as he saw off Ross Whiteley for 18 and Callum Ferguson for 30 to record the 24th 5-for of his career. It's his second against Worcestershire this season and third in all.
In 16 innings against Durham, in which Rushworth has played against Mitchell, he's got him out eight times. No wonder he has nightmares!
