Target 240
Rishabh Pant throws his hands at the last delivery and edges it through the vacant cordon for four.
A bit streaky but that was too wide from Jimmy Neesham.
New Zealand have lost a bit of momentum.

The throw was a little bit wide. He got there fast enough and released it quickly but the throw was misdirected.
Hardik Pandya rocks it round the corner and takes a risky second.
Lockie Ferguson is there quickly and gets the throw off but it's too wide and Tom Latham has to gather before turning to take off the bails. Pandya is comfortably in.
Neesham would dearly love to get Pant out to make amends for this spill...
Jeremy Coney asks and shall receive.
Jimmy Neesham is on to replace the ineffective Colin de Grandhomme.

New Zealand can't allow India to stage a recovery. Either Neesham or Santner need to come on.
Ferguson 4-0-9-0
Rishabh Pant swivels a short ball round the corner but only picks up two as Jimmy Neesham makes a fine diving stop near the rope.
Lockie Ferguson goes round the wicket. No run. Back over the wicket. No run.
And a dot off the last as well, excellent from Ferguson.
Yikes. Lockie Ferguson pushes it across the left-handed Rishabh Pant, who drives loosely at it and is very lucky not to nick off.

BBC Sport at Old Trafford
It's tense in the press box, which is packed with India journalists, but it doesn't feel as bad in the stands. Old Trafford is probably about half-full, mostly with India fans, although there's a smattering of New Zealand supporters under The Point. I was chatting to a family who were here yesterday - they said trying to book their hotel room for an extra night was "a bit of a nightmare" but they managed, eventually...
The TV feed reckons Jimmy Neesham dived 2.62m to take this stunner.
The Kiwi all-rounder is getting loose too and could well be on for a bowl soon.

I am not sure De Grandhomme is doing what the captain requires of him.

The partnership has now developed. Three or four runs are starting to come from every over. The intensity has dropped from New Zealand with the introduction of Colin de Grandhomme.
Target 240
Not sure New Zealand should have turned to Colin de Grandhomme this early.
It's gentle pace, the ball isn't as hard and India can just nudge him into the gaps to pick up two repeatedly.
Exactly the over India needed - nine from it.

The shine and the hardness has gone from the ball. Is it just starting to grip a bit in the surface?
Pant 24, Pandya 12
Watchful stuff from Hardik Pandya for the rest of the over.
Rishabh Pant takes a single to put India on 50 and a loud cheer, rarely heard today, goes up.
Jeremy Coney
Ex-New Zealand captain on BBC Test Match Special
That is a lucky stroke. It hung tantalisingly in the air.
Chance! No. Just safe.
Hardik Pandya miscues a pull shot off Lockie Ferguson and the ball loops up invitingly only to fall just beyond the grasp of the retreating Martin Guptill on the edge of the inner ring.
