Tom Latham goes back when Hardik Pandya is on strike as Colin de Grandhomme tries to shape it away from the right hander.

    Well now.

Colin de Grandhomme is into the attack with his nagging medium pace.

Tom Latham is up to the stumps to keep Rishabh Pant honest.

Pandya's highest score in ODIs is 83.

    Pant's is 48.

One of them is probably going to have to hit a maiden century if India are going to get over the line.

India have not been in this situation at all in this World Cup. It is going to need something from batsmen who are not used to the situation.

Lockie Ferguson is hurling it down at impressive speed, but also with plenty of accuracy.

    Just one from the over.

    Time for drinks.

It has been a decent bit of rebuilding from Pant and Pandya. I have played against Pant in Test cricket and often he looks good for a bit and then plays the odd rash shot.

New Zealand have been absolutely brilliant.

  13. Ind 42-4published at 14 overs

    Pant 19, Pandya 9

Hardik Pandya punches firmly off the back foot just past the diving fielder at cover and that races away for four. The outfield is quick today.

For a fielder of Neesham's standard that is a pretty easy catch. It has gone quickly but it is at a comfortable height.

He will be disappointed with that.

  19. dropped catch

Pant dropped on 18published at 12.1 overs

Remarkable. Jimmy Neesham took one of the greatest catches of all time earlier but has dropped a much simpler chance now.

Rishabh Pant tries to whip Lockie Ferguson's first ball over mid-wicket but ends up hitting it just to the right of Neesham.

It's powerfully hit and bursts through Neesham's hands. He'd expect himself to take that though.

    Pant gets a life.
