Jack Shutt starts his last over for Yorkshire. Been a great debut for him so far and here was his second wicket of the night earlier on...

  2. Lancs 107-3published at 13 overs

    Vilas 22, Maxwell 13

Expensive comeback over that for Yorkshire and David Willey.

Costs 11 runs and Lancashire with a decent platform to kick on in the last seven overs.

  3. 6 runs

    Lancs 106-3published at 12.4 overs

Boundary for Lancashire skipper Dane Vilas which will please the visitors and bring up their 100 at just over eight-an-over.

And there's more boundary action for the Lightning as Vilas strikes a big six over square leg with a beauty of a ramp sweep!

Bit of a delay at Headingley as we look for a replacement ball.

We get a rare look there on the television at what a box full of Kookaburra's looks like from umpire Jeff Evans' hat cam.

David Willey has the new rock in his hands as he starts his third over from the Pavilion End....

  5. Jacks' joy comes to an endpublished at 19:51 British Summer Time 25 July 2019

    Surrey 75-3 (9.1 overs)

There'll be no quick-fire century for Will Jacks today, as Graham Wagg strangles him down the leg side to have him caught behind for 40.

And another big wicket follows in the very next over - that of Australia's Aaron Finch!

It's an absolutely magnificent piece of work from Billy Root, who stretches to catch Finch's attempted slog on the rope and just, as he stepped over the boundary, lobbed it up into the air for him to gather having returned to the field. Brilliant.

  6. Lancs 95-3published at 12 overs

Lancashire a bit becalmed in this middle section of the innings and Jack Shutt continues with a third over.

More tidy stuff from the off-spinner who has 2-14 to his name on his opening night.

The visitors could do with a few more shots like this one earlier from Steven Croft...

  7. Lancs 89-3published at 11 overs

A third over completed by Jordan Thompson. Figures of 1-22 so far.

Here's the wicket of Alex Davies he took earlier on....

  8. wicket

WICKET Livingstone c Brook b Shutt 25published at 9.5 overs

    Lancs 79-3

Debutant Jack Shutt continues with his off-spin from the Football Ground End.

And he's got himself another scalp! Liam Livingstone this time.

He tries to smash him for a straight six but falls short of the rope and Harry Brook takes the catch at long-off.

  9. Lancs 76-2published at 9 overs

    Livingstone 24, Maxwell 6

Second over from Duanne Olivier for Yorkshire sees him stray down the legside a couple of times.

Horrible delivery second time round as he concedes five wides past a despairing Nicholas Pooran with the gloves on.

Meanwhile on the boundary, Yorkshire's Viking mascot appears to want to get random members of the crowd to Floss with him....Not today mate, it's been 39C in some places!

Back in the middle, Glenn Maxwell is off and running with a one-bounce four down to long-off.

  10. Jacks leads charge in Powerplaypublished at 19:37 British Summer Time 25 July 2019

    Surrey 54-1 (6 overs)

Will Jacks, a man who once struck a 25-ball century in a warm-up match, is looking in decent shape here.

Three fours from four balls off Marchant de Lange's second over and then another big six takes him to 32 from 17 deliveries.

Australia's Aaron Finch is taking very much a back seat with 16 from 12 balls.

  11. Lancs 64-2published at 8 overs

End of that Jack Shutt wicket-taking over and the new man in at four for Lancashire is none other than Glenn Maxwell.

  12. wicket

WICKET Croft c Lyth b Shutt 11published at 7.3 overs

    Lancs 62-2

What a moment for young spinner Jack Shutt off his third ball in senior county cricket.

It's the wicket of Steven Croft for 11!

Probably won't be the best ball he ever bowls as Croft fails to put away a full toss and picks out Adam Lyth on the long-on boundary who takes the catch.

  13. Lancs 60-1published at 7 overs

    Livingstone 21, Croft 10

Tidy second over from Jordan Thompson concedes just five runs.

  14. Postpublished at 19:27 British Summer Time 25 July 2019

And here is another chance to see that Liam Livingstone six in case you weren't with us a little bit earlier....

  15. Powerplay completepublished at 6 overs

    Lancashire 55-1

First six overs complete and Lancashire nicely placed having only lost the wicket of Alex Davies.

  16. 6 runs

    Lancs 52-1published at 5.2 overs

Steven Croft off the mark in impressive fashion with six off Mathew Pillans over deep square leg.

50 up too for the Red Rose.

  17. Postpublished at 19:24 British Summer Time 25 July 2019

Time for Mathew Pillans to bowl the last over the Powerplay in this Lancashire innings....

  18. Surrey lose Stoneman earlypublished at 19:23 British Summer Time 25 July 2019

    Surrey 18-1 (2 overs)

Surrey have never beaten Glamorgan in T20 cricket at The Oval, remarkably, and the Welshmen have made a decent start this evening too.

Brown caps opener Mark Stoneman has just fallen for five, attempting to loft Marchant de Lange for a six but instead guiding his shot perfectly to third man standing on the rope.

Will Jacks is the next man in... and clubs his first ball for a big six.

  19. wicket

WICKET Davies c Pooran b Thompson 25published at 5 overs

    Lancashire 45-1 v Yorkshire

Wicket time for Yorkshire and good timing too just as these two were looking dangerous.

Alex Davies goes for another big shot off Jordan Thompson and it's a slower one once more that he gets a fine outside edge to through to Nicholas Pooran behind the stumps.

  20. Lancs 45-0published at 4.5 overs

Time for Yorkshire right-arm seamer Jordan Thompson to have a bowl from the Pavilion End at Headingley.

Nearly gets a wicket first ball as Alex Davies mistimes a drive just short of mid-off.

Mixes his pace up nicely to keep Davies and Liam Livingstone guessing but he can't stop this shot from Davies who gets his first six of the night out to the mid-wicket boundary!
