  1. Lancs 37-0published at 4 overs

    Davies 18, Livingstone 17

    OOPS!

Yorkshire gift Liam Livingstone another boundary as there's a misfield on the rope by Mathew Pillans down at square leg.

He won't want to see that again as it skipped off the practice wickets and through his long barrier.

Livingstone follows that up with another four straight back down the ground and Lancashire are enjoying this right now.

  2. Disks stop playpublished at 19:14 British Summer Time 25 July 2019

    Surrey v Glamorgan

Well... this is a new one on me.

After thunder and lightning and then rain twice delay the start, we're now waiting for the disks which mark out the inner field to be placed in the correct positions after they originally appear to be in too close.

But we're up and running at last now!

  3. Postpublished at 19:13 British Summer Time 25 July 2019

Time for a bit of the right-arm seam of Duanne Olivier for Yorkshire now....

  4. 6 runs

    Lancs 28-0published at 3 overs

    Davies 17, Livingstone 9

    Shot Alex Davies!

Another four for the diminutive right-hander as Willey over-pitches and he smashes him over long-on with a couple of bounces to the fence.

Willey follows up with a horrible wide and then it's Liam Livingstone's turn to get in on the action with the first six of the night over deep square leg and several rows back into the Western Terrace!

    Lancashire motoring now.

  5. Lancs 14-0published at 2.2 overs

Quick single taken and chance of a run out to the man at backward point?

Throw from Dom Bess to the striker's end hits the stumps, but a diving Liam Livingstone is in and safe.

  6. Postpublished at 19:08 British Summer Time 25 July 2019

David Willey continues with a second over for Yorkshire...

  7. Lancs 11-0published at 2 overs

    Davies 10, Livingstone 1

Poor first ball by Bess is a full toss and Alex Davies tucks into that for four to the extra cover fence.

Davies and Liam Livingstone nicely rotate the strike after that to get the latter of the mark and this patient start continues.

  8. Set for a 19:10 BST startpublished at 19:06 British Summer Time 25 July 2019

    Surrey v Glamorgan (19:10 BST)

Right, are we finally going to get a game on at The Oval?

The sun's shining, the covers are off and, all being well, we're due to finally get under way at 19:10 BST. It'll still be 20 overs per side, too.

  9. Postpublished at 19:04 British Summer Time 25 July 2019

Bit of off-spin to start at the other end with Dom Bess...

  10. Lancashire Lightning 3-0published at 1 over

    Davies 3, Livingstone 0

    Tidy first over...

Half a shout for a leg before from David Willey against Alex Davies with one that nipped back in to the right-hander, but not given.

Lancashire get off the mark as Davies gets a couple to the legside towards the well-populated Western Terrace at Headingley.

  11. Here we go then!published at 18:59 British Summer Time 25 July 2019

Yorkshire Vikings v Lancashire Lightning (19:00 BST)

Almost time to get going at Headingley...

Lancashire batting first after winning the toss and it's Alex Davies and Liam Livingstone to open for the visitors.

David Willey takes the first over for Yorkshire...

Lancs v YorksImage source, Rex Features

So while we wait for the weather to behave in London as mentioned, our feature match this evening comes from Headingley where old enemies Yorkshire and Lancashire meet once more!

There's been some pretty tasty T20 Blast clashes between these two in recent years and in front of impressive crowds too.

Lancashire took the bragging rights by winning both of last season's fixtures but it's pretty even on the overall head-to-head count with a couple of ties thrown in as well.

Let's hope tonight's got some drama in store too.

  13. Covers back on at The Ovalpublished at 18:55 British Summer Time 25 July 2019

    Surrey v Glamorgan (18:55 BST)

It looks like that revised start time is off the cards because it's started raining now and the covers have been brought back on.

This shower was due, but once it's passed we should be in for a clear evening.

  14. Dizzy opts to face his own bowlers!published at 18:54 British Summer Time 25 July 2019

And with that news about Jofra Archer returning tomorrow, who better to give him someone to practice in the nets with than his very own coach, Jason Gillespie!

See how the man who once made a Test match double ton got on!

  15. Look who's back!published at 18:51 British Summer Time 25 July 2019

Good news for Sussex and England fans this evening.

Fast bowler Jofra Archer has been given the thumbs up to make his first appearance since the World Cup final after recovering from a side strain.

Archer is expected to appear for Sussex Sharks against Surrey at Hove on Friday.

All being well, that should set him up for the chance to make his Test debut as the Ashes series begins this time next week at Edgbaston.

  16. Poysden injury scare ends seasonpublished at 18:48 British Summer Time 25 July 2019

Yorkshire Vikings v Lancashire Lightning (19:00 BST)

One player who unfortunately won't be involved this evening at Headingley is Yorkshire spinner Josh Poysden.

The 27-year-old will be out for the rest of the season after suffering a fractured skull from being hit by a ball in training.

Thankfully Poysden is set to make a "full recovery" having received treatment in hospital before being discharged yesterday.

The former Warwickshire player suffered internal bleeding and bruising on the brain.

"I feel the injury could've been a lot worse, so I feel lucky to hopefully be able to make a full recovery," he said.

"I was just throwing at one of the lads and they whacked one straight back at me, in the side of the head."

Yorkshire include England all-rounder David Willey plus West Indies wicketkeeper-batsman Nicholas Pooran while there's also a debut for young off-spinner Jack Shutt alongside Somerset loanee Dom Bess.

Lancashire have Glenn Maxwell in their ranks alongside fellow Australian James Faulkner while seamer Saqib Mahmood is back from injury to potentially take the new ball.

There's also a welcome return for all-rounder Liam Livingstone after his recent injury.

Yorkshire Vikings v Lancashire Lightning (19:00 BST)

No sign of thunder and lightning in Leeds as yet (apart from Lancashire Lightning of course!).....

News from the toss there is that Lancashire have won and elected to bat first.

We'll confirm the two teams for you shortly where we're scheduled to get started on time at 19:00 BST....
