  4. Earlier this eveningpublished at 18:21 British Summer Time 25 July 2019

Gloucestershire beat Middlesex by two wickets

We've already got one result to bring you from today's T20 Blast action.

It's been another nail-biter at Cheltenham College where Gloucestershire have beaten Middlesex by two wickets.

Middlesex were without overseas star AB de Villiers who is resting a finger injury, and they battled their way to 148-9 as wicketkeeper John Simpson top-scored with 42 not out.

In reply, Gloucestershire looked to be cruising home with plenty to spare as opener Miles Hammond made 63.

But, a few jitters towards the end and a some lower-order wickets gave Middlesex a sniff until Tom Smith struck a winning boundary with four balls to spare as Gloucestershire got home on 151-8.

It's a first defeat of the competition for Middlesex and a first win for Gloucestershire, who had their opening match rained off last week against Glamorgan.

Stay tuned - one of our two evening matches begins in the next 15 minutes or so...
