We've got to be hoping for 180, which in a quarter final is a good score, we don't often see 200 or above.

  2. Sussex 152-6published at 17 overs

Laurie Evans again gets a welcome boundary for Sussex.

Slower ball from Charlie Morris gets worked away to the point rope for four.

Sussex go past 150 with three overs to go...

It was an interesting delay, a short delivery and a long delay before the umpire gave him out. Sussex just stuttering and really need to try and get going here.

    Jordan c Cox b Morris 2 (Sussex 146-6)

Tame dismissal this for Chris Jordan - the thinnest of outside edges!

Another one comes and goes quickly for Sussex and Worcestershire's bowlers keep doing the business.

  5. Postpublished at 20:05 British Summer Time 6 September 2019

It was all going one way a few overs ago as Sussex were motoring along.

Phil Salt was the chief destroyer with 50 off just 31 balls.

This was his third six to bring it up....

Brave cricket from Laurie Evans, at least it has got the crowd up and celebrating a boundary again.

  7. Sussex 146-5published at 16 overs

    Evans 25, Jordan 1

Laurie Evans managed to change the momentum a bit with a welcome boundary off the last ball of that previous Moeen over.

He'll be key from here for Sussex.

Pat Brown meanwhile is back with Chris Jordan the latest man in for the Sharks.

Evans repeats the trick with another four off the last ball of the over much to Brown's frustration.

    Five overs to go....

  8. wicket

    Rawlins c&b Moeen 5 (Sussex 133-5)

Delray Rawlins is the next man to fall for Sussex as he mistimes a sweep and it goes high and not very far to give Moeen a simple caught and bowled.

    Sussex stuttering now.

  9. Sussex 130-4published at 14 overs

    Run rate 9.29

Ed Barnard the chief destroyer for Worcestershire continues with a third over for the Rapids.

Another tidy over with just five from it and the visitors are well and truly back in this one now.

2-16 off three for Barnard so far.

It's in the balance, Worcester have certainly come back into this game.

  12. Sussex 125-4published at 13 overs

Moeen Ali brings himself on for a third over as Delray Rawlins is the new man in at six for Sussex.

Laurie Evans with an unfortunate view of those last three quick wickets from the non-striker's end.

Decent over again from Moeen with just five runs from it.

It skidded through and looked quite a quick delivery, a much quicker delivery than he has bowled all night.

    Wiese b Barnard 0 (Sussex 120-4)

Another one goes - first ball!

David Wiese bowled by a beauty from Ed Barnard and Worcestershire right back in this game now.

Two down in the space of three balls.

Top edge and a simple catch but credit to the bowler for taking pace off the ball. Sussex might need to take a couple of balls to get going again but no panic, there are two good players at the crease.

  16. wicket

    Carey c Cox b Barnard 8 (Sussex 119-3)

Sixes and wickets seem to be the pattern at the moment.

Alex Carey's cameo only lasts four balls as he miscues an attempted sweep straight up in the air to give Ben Cox a simple catch with the gloves on.

What an extraordinary shot from Carey, second ball he has slog swept a medium paced bowler - an unbelievably good start to his innings.

    Good evening Alex Carey!

Just his second ball and he slog sweeps Daryl Mitchell all the way for six to deep mid-wicket.

Fabulous knock from a player that is growing into his career with every game. He's got us off to a great start. Sussex still in a great position.

    Salt c Wessels b Mitchell 72 (Sussex 108-2)

Six, six and then out for Phil Salt!

Tries to make it a third six of the over with a hit straight down the ground but Riki Wessels comes sprinting along the rope to take a smart catch at long-on.

End of a terrific innings from Salt with 70 off 40 balls - five fours and five sixes.
