Just wondering about the tactics here, bowling the slow bowlers up the hill is so difficult to do. This is clinical batting from Phil Salt.

When you sneak in those dot balls it does really limit the damage.

It's so handy for Luke Wright when Phil Salt gets going, it means Wrighty doesn't have to go wild too early.

That last over has propelled that to pretty much a perfect powerplay - you couldn't ask for much more in a quarter-final, fantastic start for Sussex.

Dillon Pennington continues but Phil Salt finds the boundary once more off the right-armer.

Beautiful timing and power as he whips it away to the square leg rope.

Luke Wright into the boundary action again with back-to-back fours to put Sussex in a terrific position at the end of the Powerplay.

An expensive couple of overs for Pennington.

Sussex have one Australian out and one in tonight. Jason Behrendorff, who did not take a wicket in his two matches in the Blast this year, has returned Down Under, but Alex Carey returns to the squad for what will be his final appearance in this year's competition.

Wicketkeeeper Carey has made two T20 fifties this year with a best of 78 on his debut against Somerset.

Carey's also the reason why Ben Brown is in the commentary box tonight and not behind the stumps for Sussex.

It looks a good pitch, I would be interested to know what the guys out there think is a good score because I can't see any demons in it.
