Jonathan Herbert: Sure Roger Federer is following the cricket but probably supporting SA.

Could have could anywhere. Malan sweeps, it takes the glove and loops over leg slip. "Give him the one, Joe," says Buttler when Hamza get on strike. They want him to face Stokes in the next over. It's too far down the leg side for Hamza to play.

You have to have a clear plan - and it doesn't look like Hamza's plan is that clear.

Stokes with the leg theory again, Zubayr Hamza looking in greater discomfort than Pieter Malan. Off side, almost carrying to cover. Leg side, almost to square leg. Stokes is warned for running on the pitch, but that won't stop him from testing Hamza's ticker.

England have been looking to replace Graeme Swann and haven't found anybody.

Jos Buttler bangs his gloves together, urging Dom Bess to find something and England to get another before the close. Still the Barmies sing as Ben Stokes makes a field-change suggestion to Bess. It's not quite happening for Bess at the moment.

Stokes looked sore after that third ball. He looked like he was in a lot of pain.

To my knowledge, there are no celebrities amongst the Barmy Army, so they rouse themselves into song in order to inspire England. Midway through this over, Stokes grabs hold of his left side and grimmaces. Worrying. Then again, there probably isn't every a time when Stokes isn't playing with some sort of niggle. He's still bowling gas.

I like this from Bess, bowling his off-spin round the wicket to the right-handed Malan. Leg slip, short leg and lbw in play. Previously, Malan was happy to use his feet, but the new line keeps Malan at home. Ten overs remain.

We need a proper celebrity to get Malan out. Can Greg James get Mattchin Tendulkar to tweet in?

    I'd take a former PM.

Ben Stokes is going to be used as a battering ram. Round the wicket, catchers on the leg side, Malan about to get the leather up his nose. Stokes is having a little problem with hid follow-through, unable to get off the pitch. He gets a word in his ear and goes back over the wicket. Malan did not seem troubled by the short stuff.

Can you imagine the scenes if we got one of those names?
