I'm a presenter on LBC and I've interviewed Sir Michael Caine and John Cleese (separately) in theatres. I used to interview celebrities in exactly five minutes timed against a giant alarm clock for the BBC. Oh and I presented documentaries for the BBC - including with Stuart Broad. Does any of that count? Thought not. But I'm a loyal contributor to the #bbccricket thread.

Denly is withdrawn in favour of Dom Bess' off-spin, now turning the ball in to the right-handers, hoping to create indecision around off stump. Hamza isn't what you'd call a picture of certainty, an inside edge almost having the short leg field interested. There are 20 overs left in the day.

I would say if a wicket falls the celebrity is real, if not they are fake.

Good point. There was a time when you couldn't keep her away from the cricket. Maybe we need to get Graham Onions back. Hamza is only half-forward to Broad, edging all along the ground past second slip for four. In response, a helmeted gully comes closer. I'm not sure I've ever seen a helmeted slip/gully take a catch off a pace bowler.

Normally, you'd say that the leg-spinner, turning the ball away, is a bigger threat to the right-handers. Here, part-time Denly looked much more likely to get left-handed Elgar (which he obviously did). Hamza plays in comfort off the back foot. Time for a change, I reckon.

Two slips, gully, short leg. England fans sing the song that tell us Stuart Broad is "big, bad and better than his dad". Hamza, baby-faced, plays a handsome drive into the off side, but it's straight to a fielder.

I believe that really is Dave Hill from Slade. As suspected, Stuart Broad is on. It looks like England think there may be some reverses on offer.

Dave Hill from Slade here. I love the post Christmas Test matches as after our annual blitz it's a great time to relax.

Surprisingly, Denly continues. Surely it can't be long before one of the Old Firm is summoned to have a go at the new man. Then again, the Kent all-rounder (that's right, I went there), is getting it to turn sharply. The Barmies are rocking. It feels like an evening when England could get a spurt on.

How are you going to tell if people are who they say they are? This could be problematic.

Is it any coincidence that England took their first wicket once we got our first confirmed celeb? Nine more and this game is won. Can someone please give Claudia Winkelman, Bez, Tony Robinson and Denise van Outen a nudge, please.

Zubayr Hamza is the new man. That was the end of Denly's over. It might even be the end of his spell.

Elgar doesn't like it, but he looked gulty as the ball passed the bat. But there was nothing that the third umpire could see there to overturn the decision.

Dean Elgar can't believe this. He thinks he's hit the ground and there is only a tiny, and I mean minuscule, scratch on the snicko.

Then again, there wasn't any compelling evidence to overturn the on-field decision.

Either way, the scorebook says he is out. The Joe Denly experiment works, giving him his first Test wicket. England are up and running.

    Blue tick and a wicket?

    Has Denly got his man?

Elgar caught behind? Given out on the field, but the batsman asked right away...

    Now we've started!

It says much about what is going on the middle that we have found a blue tick before England have taken a wicket.

Cracking show on Radio X, Toby. Keep up the good work.
