  1. England bowl Nigeria out for 58 in World Cuppublished at 10:34 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

It looks like England will finally win a game at the Under-19 World Cup. They should, after bowling Nigeria out for a paltry 58 in Kimberley, South Africa.

George Hill took 4-12 off 7.5 overs and Hamidullah Qadri (below) 4-24 off seven.

England can no longer win the competition after losing their opening two games against West Indies and Australia, but they are heading into the plate competition to decide which teams finish ninth to 16th.

Frank Jaeger: I know the ‘c’ word hasn’t been said yet today but always give England time and the collapse will show itself.

Matt Taylor: I have only been able to catch about an hour's play of this Test so far. I have still managed to see all 7 wickets.

Faf du Plessis will not be impressed with this start from Hendricks. Full, floaty and punished by Woakes with a drive down the ground. It was an eight over spell from Nortje so it's no wonder he's out of puff. Woakes will be relieved the pace has dropped.

Nortje's impressive spell is done. Can Beuran Hendricks back him up?

The pace is significantly slower from Dwaine Pretorius' end but he has been doing a decent job of keeping things quiet. Jos Buttler flicks fine off his pads for four to release a little bit of the pressure.

It's amazing how quiet it goes in a dressing room when you lose a couple of wickets.

You just have conversations and try to say the right thing to players.

But with Buttler and Woakes at the crease, they have two steady characters who will be looking to score runs for different reasons.

To Jos Buttler's credit he very rarely looks rattled. England need him to add a few.

That was a woeful hat-trick ball. It was on the middle of seventh stump.

There's no hat-trick for Anrich Nortje as Chris Woakes realises you are allowed to leave a wide ball first up.

The reason these wickets fall in clusters on this surface is the bounce of the ball. The tough thing is to get yourself in and not be tempted to play the ball. It's about adjusting to the bounce.

It was a horrible shot, it was angled across him and he's thrown his hands at it. No foot movement whatsoever to his first ball, a bit wild and reckless.
