Richard Lancaster: What's happened to Mahmood? He was excellent earlier. Jordan bowling pies.

    Full toss from Chris Jordan...

Four! It wasn't middled but Miller has managed to muscle it to the boundary.

14 from Jordan's over. Not his day at all. His last two overs have cost 26.

  6. SA 234-7published at 47.5 overs

Chris Jordan doesn't agree but this has been called a wide. Could Saqib Mahmood be given the final over?

  7. 50 runs

50 to Millerpublished at 47.3 overs

Maybe I shouldn't have doubted him. David Miller is giving South Africa a slight chance. He sprints a two to get to 50.

Why is Chris Jordan still bowling? He has been average at best today. David Miller picks a gap perfectly and gets four.

Just turned on the TV. Such a great sight - sunshine, green grass and pink everywhere - compared to the black sky, howling wind and battering rain here in Liverpool. I'm settling in for a while! C'mon England.

  10. SA 224-7published at 47 overs

The Wanderers choir is in decent voice in the stands but it's still England who will be by far the happier. Just four runs come from Tom Curran's over.

Sipamla will be on strike for the next one too.

  11. SA 221-7published at 46.2 overs

David Miller hasn't gone full Ben Stokes-Jack Leach and takes a single off the first ball of the over, giving Sipamla the strike. Tom Curran follows up with a dot to the tailender.

    Vendors

The street vendors who had been selling pink hats, etc, outside the ground pre-match are now selling them through the railings to people inside. Enterprising.

  14. SA 220-7published at 46 overs

After a slow start David Miller has caught up with his scoring rate. He steals a single off a good yorker from Jordan.

Miller has 42 from 41 balls. There's still a slight chance of 250 for South Africa.

  15. 6 runs

    SA 217-7published at 45.4 overs

That's not Chris Jordan's best delivery! Short of a length and David Miller hoists it into the jubilant crowd.

Rashid has finished with 3-51 - on another day he could easily have taken five. Lots of miscues and misreading from the South African batsmen

Too right they are. Both spin twins were brilliant today. I told you Beuran Hendricks was a poor batsman and Lutho Sipamla's List A average is even worse at 7.00. He's off the mark with a single.

  19. SA 208-7published at 45 overs

    Miller 32, Sipamla 0

This is traditionally a high-scoring ground. South Africa scored 439-2 in 2015 against West Indies. There was also that famous game here between South Africa and Australia in 2006 where the hosts chased down 434 to win.

You wouldn't think this was enough, even with Miller sweeping a four at the end of Rashid's over.

B Hendricks run out Morgan (SA 204-7)

South Africa's running has been shocking today. They go for two when there wasn't even 1.5 there. Beuran Hendricks is the batsman run out going for the second.
