Another peach of a delivery slides past the outside edge.

An excellent first over from Tom Curran - a maiden.

Hello. Tom Curran sends down two jaffas in a row, beating the outside edge of Quinton de Kock, who played at both.

It's nipping around - Chris Woakes, left out today, would have fancied this.

    Sam Curran is correct.

    Dom Bess is incorrect.

    Keep guessing.

Four years ago, Saqib Mahmood was part of the England U19 World Cup squad in Bangladesh. Two others from that squad have gone on to play for England. Who are they?

South Africa captain Quinton de Kock: "I'd have preferred to bowl first. It is a bit cloudy and a fresh wicket but we will have to come out and deal with what we have.

"It will be good wicket. I don't think it is going to change over the course of the whole day. We will have to bat well and defend it.

"It is always a great occasion coming out in pink. It is a good initiative. Hopefully the weather stays away and we can have a good game of cricket."

England captain Eoin Morgan: "The conditions make it a nice place to chase. There's a short boundary to one side and in our experience it is hard to break partnerships. It's an opportunity for Saqib Mahmood today, who will share the new ball with Sam Curran. He impressed us in the T20s he played in New Zealand. It's been a stop-start series for us so far, so hopefully we can play some good cricket today."

  18. England women miss tri-series finalpublished at 07:26 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February 2020

While you were sleeping in the UK, England's women were knocked out of the women's Twenty20 tri-series after losing to Australia by 16 runs in the final group game at Melbourne's Junction Oval.

The hosts posted a below-par 132-7 from 20 overs as spinners Sarah Glenn and Sophie Ecclestone excelled.

But England batted poorly and fell eight runs short of the 124 they needed to pip India to a place in the final on net run-rate.

England would have met India in the final had they won, but defeat meant all three sides finished level on points, with Australia and India going through.

  20. Welcomepublished at 07:20 Greenwich Mean Time 9 February 2020

Hello and welcome to live coverage of the third and final ODI between England and South Africa in Johannesburg.

The good news is the forecast looks to have cleared up compared to what it was a couple of days ago.

The Proteas are 1-0 up in the series after a seven-wicket win in the first ODI and the second ODI was abandonded because of rain.

Can the world champions win this one and salvage a tie? Or will the hosts complete a confidence-boosting series win?
