  1. Tha 52-3published at 13 overs

Matthews, bowling off-spin in her cap as usual, keeps it pretty tight as she goes round the wicket to the two right-handers.

Stafanie Taylor said at the toss she wanted to keep Thailand to under 100 - but Thailand reach the landmark of 50 with a confident sweep from Koncharoenkai. Two more singles mean Matthews has a miserly 0-7 from two.

  2. Thai 49-3published at 12 overs

Chanida Suttiruang is the new batter at the crease and she's off the mark to her first ball, darting back and punching a single through mid-on.

That is so unfortunate. They were milking the spinners really well. She thought she had to go big, but the bat turned in her hand.

    Gone!

Anisa Mohammed strikes! Naruemol Chaiwai decides to up the pace and tries to go up and over, but the top edge comfortably finds the fielder at mid-off.

  5. Thai 45-2published at 11 overs

Thanks Amy. Hayley Matthews whirls her way through a tidy over, with just four runs coming from it.

Right, I'm off to track down some water.

Mark Mitchener will take over from me.

I'm baffled by West Indies having four out of the circle.

  8. Thai 41-2published at 10 overs

Anisa Mohammed has a very pleasing sort of skip in her follow-through - leaping up into the air, ponytail bobbing, as Naruemol Chaiwai hops onto the back foot to breeze a single away.

    Halfway stage.

Thailand have steadied themselves well after losing two early wickets.

  10. Thai 39-2published at 9 overs

    Run-rate 4.33

A leg side wide from Afy Fletcher, before Nannapat Koncharoenkai almost swings herself off her feet as she tries to whack a shortish delivery out of the ground.

Once again, just a little too full from Mohammed, and she's pushed around with relative ease by Nannapat Koncharoenkai and Naruemol Chaiwai.

Double spin - here's off-break bowler Anisa Mohammed.

That lbw shout, by the way?

The technology reckons it was hitting a stump. West Indies have one review but Stafanie Taylor opted against it...

Thailand spend a lot of time in Pune, India, because that is where their coach is from. That is where I am from, so I was even able to play a practice game against them.

  16. Thai 30-2published at 7 overs

Nannapat Koncharoenkai punches a single off Fletcher's first ball, before an lbw appeal is politely ignored by the umpire.

Fletcher's not quite into her rhythm, a little too full and flighted, and she's hammered up and over for a single by Naruemol Chaiwai.

Ah, time for a bowling change.

Leggie Afy Fletcher is coming on for a twirl.

  18. Thai 26-2published at 6 overs

Naruemol Chaiwai has a rounders-style swing at this latest Shamilia Connell delivery, flashing at naught but fresh air, before Connell whirls down a wide.

Good running from Chaiwai, putting the fielder under pressure and she gets home for a sharp single. Oh, and again! Smart running, and it keeps the score ticking over.

I've loved it so far. Thailand have been extremly positive. There are nearly three generations of Thai cricket in this team.
