Here's how the first wicket fell to the impressive Chinelle Henry.
I absolutely love the scoreboard at the Waca. So pleasing.
Thai 23-2
Wallop!
A little more leading edgy than I think Nannapat Koncharoenkai was going for, and she shovels the ball over the leg side for just a single.
Whoopsie!
That's a head high full toss from Chinelle Henry, the ball just slipping from her grasp, and it goes for four.
Out goes the umpire's arm - free hit coming up...
A stumbling fielder square of the wicket allows Thailand to scramble two runs from Henry's first ball, before a full toss is dispatched nicely off the pads by Nannapat Koncharoenkai.

We don't often see bowlers bowl three overs in a row in T20.
Chinelle Henry will continue.

What I would look for from Thailand is lots of straight-batted shots, rather than cross-batted. The Thai coach used to be Harmanpreet Kaur's batting coach, so he's building up a pretty good resume.
Connell 2-0-10-1
New batter Naruemol Chaiwai has a little flirt at her first delivery from Shamilia Connell.
Edged... but it's safe! That bounced from Connell, coming down at an awkward height, and Chaiwai gets into a tangle as a leading edge bobbles just over the head of gully.

Great follow-up delivery from Connell. At this level, the ball moves a little bit, and you've got to be on every ball. When you're playing someone like West Indies, if you score a four then good, but you've got to maintain it for the full 20 overs.
Chantham c Campbelle b Connell 9 (Thai 11-2)
Edged, and gone!
A thick edge from Natthakan Chantham, hard hards, a touch of movement, and it flies through to Shemaine Campbelle, who snaffles up an easy grab.
Hello!
That'll be four more to Natthakan Chantham, again crouching down and absolutely slamming the ball away past point and into the ropes. Lovely.
Nannapat Khoncharoenkrai is just 19 years old. Apparently the key theme in this tournament is making me feel incredibly old.
Hello. Full from Chinelle Henry to end the over, swinging away, and Khoncharoenkrai can't resist chasing after it. Wicket maiden!
Nannapat Khoncharoenkrai is in at three.

What a shame. She needed to wait for the ball to come to her - Dottin's one of the world's best fielders, but it was an easy catch.
Boochatham c Dottin b Henry 2 (Thai 7-1)
Gone!
Nattaya Boochatham can't believe it. She tries to flay the ball over backward point and it lands straight into the mitts of the waiting Deandra Dottin.
A leading edge from Nattaya Boochatham drops just short of Chinelle Henry in her follow through...

What a shot! Connell's line was a little bit wide there, she needs to target off stump. I think we'll see a fair few fours if the West Indies don't bowl stump-to-stump.
A nice little drop and run earns Nattaya Boochatham a single - oh, but that'll be four!
Natthakan Chantham opens the face of the bat and throws everything, kitchen sink and all, to squeeze four well beyond point. Wallop!

Connell is another strong, fast, tall West Indian bowler. It looks like she shapes it into the left-hander.
