  1. SL 121-6published at 19 overs

Madavi has 23 off 23 balls - but she's only hitting singles at the moment as the bowler and fielders keep it tight. And Dilhari heaves the last ball of the penultimate over for one to mid-wicket.

  2. SL 119-6published at 18.4 overs

A single brings the new batter Dilhari on strike. She manages to drill a single to long-off.

  3. SL 117-6published at 18.2 overs

Kasperek to bowl, Madavi misses with a sweep, then can only play the ball back to the bowler. Sri Lanka becalmed.

So, who to bowl? Tahuhu and Amelia Kerr are bowled out. Devine, Kasperek and Jensen all have an over left.

  5. SL 117-6published at 18 overs

Kaveesha Dilhari in at eight, but they ran on the catch so it's Madavi on strike. But Sri Lanka can only plunder three singles from the remainder of Kerr's spell. She finishes with 2-21. Two overs left.

We did think that Kerr would pick up wickets in this over. Sri Lanka haven't got many balls to play with.

  7. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 17.1 overs

    Kanchana c Jensen b A Kerr 0 (SL 114-6)

Ama Kanchana goes first ball! You can't keep Amelia Kerr out of this game, as the first ball of her last over is unerringly hoisted to Hayley Jensen at deep mid-wicket.

    Nicky Shaw

She has rolled her fingers down the side of the ball, 56mph. That is a much better tactic, slower balls rather than bouncers.

  9. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 17 overs

    De Silva c A Kerr b Devine 4 (SL 114-5)

De Silva tries to emulate her batting partner with a big heave, but fails to read a well-disguised slower ball from Devine, gets a leading edge and Amelia Kerr runs to her right from backward point to take the catch.

  10. 6 runs

    SL 111-4published at 16.2 overs

Sophie Devine back on - and the left-handed Madavi has the Sri Lankan fans on their feet with a pull for six which sails high over fine leg!

New Zealand have really come back into this game. Sri Lanka have not had much since the wicket of Atapattu.

  12. ouch!

    SL 104-4published at 16 overs

    Kerr 3-0-18-1

Leg-spinner Amelia Kerr back at the Lillee-Marsh End, having taken the first wicket of the innings. She's got two overs left. Madavi gets to double figures with a single, De Silva is hit on the elbow trying to flick the ball into the leg side but they scamper a single. A couple more mean it's four singles from the over - not bad for the White Ferns at this stage.

  13. SL 100-4published at 15 overs

Nilakshi de Silva in at six - with a reputation as a big hitter in the death overs. But the 30-year-old right-hander can only defend her first ball from Jensen, who has an impressive 2-11 from three overs.

She got a good piece of that, but it was a sharp catch by Devine.

  15. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 14.5 overs

    Siriwardene c Devine b Jensen 0 (SL 100-4)

Is this officially a wobble by Sri Lanka? Siriwardena goes second ball, popping a catch to the skipper at short mid-wicket.

  16. SL 100-3published at 14.3 overs

Shashikala Siriwardena is the new batter - Madavi's single brings up the Sri Lankan three figures, which they'd been threatning to do for a couple of overs.

She had no option, because she had to go for it. She didn't time it and it just looped to the edge of the circle.

  18. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 14.1 overs

    Sanjeewani c Bates b Jensen 15 (SL 99-3)

Medium-pacer Jensen returns - Sanjeewani, who'd been a bit out of sorts, tries to go over the top and is easily taken by Suzie Bates at mid-off.

  19. SL 99-2published at 14 overs

Madavi dabs one to third man, Sanjeewani clubs a quick single to mid-on (and beats Suzie Bates' fierce throw to the stumps) and Tahuhu finishes her spell with 1-18 from four overs.

  20. SL 97-2published at 13.4 overs

Tahuhu's going to bowl out here - Sanjeewani doesn't look to comfortable against the Kiwi pacer, and nearly has to fork out for a new helmet as she's nearly hit on the head as she crouches down for a scoop shot, pulls out of it and has to duck her head at the last minute. A single takes her to 14 from 19 balls.
