  1. 50 runs

50 for Rachael Haynespublished at 16 overs

    Aus 97-3

A half-century with a six! Rachael Haynes came in with Australia in deep trouble, but she is leading her team to victory. Over mid-wicket, followed up with a carbon copy. Remember, she was dropped on 26. 18 from the over, the big one Australia needed. That might be the ball game.

Sri Lanka needed to squeeze to keep the pressure on when the powerplay ended. They have never been in that situation before, where they needed to contain the Aussies.

  3. Aus 79-3published at 15 overs

    Target 123

Four more singles. Australia need a big over, Sri Lanka need a wicket. Something's got to give. We're in for another good finish. And there's still another game to come after this....

  4. Aus 75-3published at 14.1 overs

Rachael Haynes is targeting the first ball of the over. This is the fourth time in seven overs that she's taken a boundary from the first delivery.

  5. Aus 71-3published at 14 overs

    Target 123

It's strange, because Australia look like they are in control of the situation, yet even when they take seven from the over, the required rate still climbs. They'll be thinking that one big over has this game in their grasp.

  6. Aus 68-3published at 13.1 overs

    Target 123

Have the Aussies got the momentum now? Haynes down the track, chipping straight for four.

They will be kicking themselves. They had Meg Lanning caught behind and had no review, and now a bad drop.

    That's an awful drop.

  9. dropped catch

Haynes dropped on 26published at 13 overs

    Aus 64-3

There's the chance! We said it would come, but Sri Lanka can't cling on. Rachael Haynes to mid-on off the bowling of Chamari Atapattu, but parried over the bar. The 50 partnership is up too. Eight runs off the over.

  10. Aus 56-3published at 12 overs

    Target 123

We've had only one boundary since the first ball of the ninth over. Maybe it is too easy for Australia to take the singles, but they'll need to find the fence at some point. Not only that, but there's only four singles from this over. Required rate well above eight. A wicket here would have the Aussies really up against it.

Since the powerplay ended, Sri Lanka have had their foot off the gas. They should have three on the fence rather than four. It's too easy for Australia at the moment.

  12. Aus 52-3published at 11 overs

    Target 123

You just feel like another chance will come for Sri Lanka. For Australia to keep up with the rate, at some point they will have to take a risk. Seven from the over, but that's still not enough.

  13. Aus 49-3published at 10.1 overs

Every boundary feels big. Haynes paddles scoops Kumari very fine for four. Where is the short fine leg fielder?

  14. Aus 45-3published at 10 overs

    Target 123

In the main, Sri Lanka are fielding pretty well, throwing themselves around and saving valuable runs. The Sri Lanka fans in the crowd are getting very excited cheering every stop and dot ball. Four from Dilhari's over. The required right is pushing towards eight.

  15. Not outpublished at 9.1 overs

    Aus 41-3

That's a pretty bad decision from the on-field umpire. He was the only person not to spot the inside edge.

  16. Australia reviewpublished at 9.1 overs

    Aus 41-4

Sri Lanka are cockahoop that Rachael Haynes has been given lbw, but I'm certain she's hit this...

  17. Aus 41-3published at 9 overs

    Target 123

Left-arm spin. Sugandika Kumari. Rachael Haynes carves her first boundary behind square on the off side. Nice runs from the over. Much more in keeping with what Australia require. The tension, up at 11 before, is taken down a notch. Still more than seven an over needed, though.

  18. Aus 32-3published at 8 overs

You know what? Lanning hit that. What were we saying about Sri Lanka needing the review?

You can tell that Sri Lanka have done their plans. They just look in control.

  20. Aus 32-3published at 8 overs

    Target 123

Another appeal against Meg Lanning. This time it's off-spinner Kavisha Dilhari asking if the skipper is caught behind. Lanning shakes her head and it's not given. The skipper, never one to smile unless she really has to, is especially grumpy today.
