  1. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 0.2 overs

    Healy b Prabodhani 0 (Aus 0-1)

Unbelievable! What a delivery from Udeshika Prabodhani. Left-arm, vicious swing back into the right-hander, taking out the top of leg stump. Sri Lanka strike early. They couldn't, could they?

Australia will need to get these runs quickly because, after losing their opening game, it could come down to net run-rate if the big guns win all their games.

It absolutely belted it down before this game began, but the sun is shining now. Here come the Aussie openers. Alyssa Healy, who made a half-century in the opening game, and Beth Mooney.

And, in case you didn't know, this is the first of a Monday double-header. We'll have India v Bangladesh, also in Perth, from 11:00.

It's worth noting all three games played at the Waca so far have been won by the team chasing. Australia need to continue that trend or they are staring down the barrel of an early exit.

I'm slightly disappointed in the end. I thought Sri Lanka were going to set Australia a really tough total to chase. I just don't think it's enough runs.

  7. SL 122-6published at 20 overs

Now, how important will this be? Harshitha Madavi should be run out by miles coming back for the second, but Alyssa Healy can't gather the ball. 122-6 for Sri Lanka. Tricky for Australia, but they are still strong favourites to get them.

  8. Not outpublished at 19.5 overs

    SL 120-6

Saved by an inside edge. Dot ball, though....

  9. Sri Lanka reviewpublished at 19.5 overs

    SL 120-7

Two in two? Madavi lbw first ball?

Very well taken by Healy. The right decision to bowl Jonassen as well - I wasn't sure whether it was right to go with spin after that last Strano over.

  11. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 19.4 overs

De Silva st Healy b Jonassen 18 (SL 120-6)

Always likely in the final over. De Silva runs past a dipper from Jonassen and Alyssa Healy takes a very smart stumping, gathering the ball after it's past between batter and leg stump.

  12. SL 118-5published at 19 overs

12 off the over. Maybe 130 is within reach, after all. Australia couldn't chase 132 against India.

  13. SL 110-5published at 18.3 overs

And another! This time pulled to mid-wicket. Sri Lanka are getting a final flurry.

  14. SL 111-5published at 18.2 overs

That's more like it! Nilakshi de Dilva down the track, taking Strano inside-out to long-off for a one-bounce four.

  15. SL 106-5published at 18 overs

Jess Jonassen's left-arm spin back for the 18th over. Sri Lanka try all manner of ways of hitting the ball, none with any great success. Some good running off the last ball brings a couple, but it's boundaries that are required. Even 120 looks tough from here.

  16. SL 101-5published at 17 overs

Two wickets for two runs in that Strano over. Shashikala Siriwardene is the new bat. Only 16 runs off the past four overs.

Such a disappointing last over from Sri Lanka. Realistically, once you get Atapattu out, it's all downhill for them.

  18. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 16.4 overs

    Kanchana c Perry b Strano 0 (SL 101-5)

Going backwards quickly. Ana Kanchana lasts only two balls, sweeping Molly Strano to deep square leg. Sri Lanka have lost 3-10 in 11 balls.

The batters don't seem to be targeting the right areas. It was a very good catch by Delissa Kimmince.

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 16.2 overs

    Sanjeewani c Kimmince b Strano 25 (SL 101-4)

Hmmmm. You just wonder if the bolts of the wheels are being loosened, ready for them to come off. Anushka Sanjeewani swipes Molly Strano across the line and is well held by Delissa Kimmince at mid-wicket.
