  1. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 9.4 overs

    Campbelle c & b Villiers 1 (WI 42-3)

    What a grab!

Windies keeper Shemaine Campbelle prods loosely and pokes the ball up in the air back down the pitch.

Mady Villiers goes with two hands to her right but realises she won't get there with both so just sticks out the right and clings on.

A superb reaction catch. West Indies in the mire.

  4. Postpublished at 10:20 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March 2020

This is the peak of the West Indies innings so far.

A couple of troughs shortly followed.

  5. WI 42-2published at 9 overs

    Target 144

So no second wicket for Sarah Glenn but one scalp and one run from the over is very handy indeed.

It was a good punt in the end. She didn't look confident reviewing it.

  7. Not outpublished at 8.4 overs

It was the googly and it was turning enough to just miss leg stump.

    Chedean Nation is reprieved.

The only way it's not out is if it's sliding down leg. It looked out from here.

  9. West Indies reviewpublished at 8.4 overs

Does Sarah Glenn have two in the over?

Chedean Nation is trapped in front, big appeal and given.

She sends it upstairs - was it sliding down?

  10. Another medical update from Kate Cross...published at 10:17 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March 2020

    Alex Hartley
England spinner on BBC Test Match Special

I've had an update from Crossy. She's just texted me: "That stretcher's busy." She must be all right if she's in good humour.

If you weren't with us earlier, Cross injured her ankle in the warm-up and has gone to hospital.

  11. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 8.2 overs

    Matthews b Glenn 10 (WI 42-2)

West Indies lurching into calamity territory now.

Just moments after a key player has to depart due to injury, another is out to a woeful shot.

Hayley Matthews completely miscues a wild heave off Sarah Glenn and the ball turns to rock into leg stump.

A torturous knock of 10 off 22 balls.

You feel like there's got to be more of a sense of urgency from West Indies here. They don't want to bat themselves out of contention, before they're even into the final overs.

  13. Postpublished at 10:14 Greenwich Mean Time 1 March 2020

So West Indies captain Stafanie Taylor retires hurt on 15 off 18 balls.

A huge blow to her side's chances. She looked in agony after hobbling through for a single off the last ball of that over.

Umpire Chris Brown and England's physio help lift Stafanie Taylor on the strecher on to the medical buggy.

England's physio then goes over to check on Anya Shrubsole but she's fine.

The medical buggy is coming on to the pitch.

Stafanie Taylor will not be able to carry on here.

I'm going to play devil's advocate here, as I've seen Staf Taylor do this before. We were playing in the West Indies, she went down with a hamstring injury, went off in a full-blown ambulance - then a wicket fell and she came back on!

  17. WI 41-1published at 8 overs

    Target 144

Stafanie Taylor is lying on the ground now, being attended to by the physio.

  18. dropped catch

Taylor dropped on 12published at 7.5 overs

Stafanie Taylor leathers a slog sweep towards mid-wicket and the ball bursts through Anya Shrubsole's hands.

    Tough but takeable.

Taylor scrambles two and looks to have hurt herself running between the wickets.

    Shrubsole is shaking her fingers.

    The breakthrough.

Sarah Glenn's not a massive spinner of the ball, but normally bowls a nice line and length and varies her pace well. England might have just found a good spin combination with her and Sophie Ecclestone - unfortunately for me!
