Sydney Sixers: Josh Philippe (wk), James Vince, Steve Smith, Moises Henriques (c), Daniel Hughes, Jordan Silk, Sean Abbott, Ben Dwarshuis, Nathan Lyon, Josh Hazlewood, Steve O'Keefe.
Melbourne Stars: Marcus Stoinis, Nic Maddinson, Nick Larkin, Glenn Maxwell (c), Peter Handscomb, Ben Dunk, Sebastian Gotch (wk), Nathan Coulter-Nile, Adam Zampa, Daniel Worrall, Haris Rauf.
Sydney Sixers captain Moises Henriques: "The ground is in really good nick considering the rain over the last few days. We're down to 12 overs now so hopefully the runs will come thick and fast."
Melbourne Stars captain Glenn Maxwell: "We're certainly excited. It didn't look likely we'd be playing but the groundstaff have done a fantastic job.
"I'm just so happy the fans have got the chance to see some cricket tonight."
A 12-over game will start at 09:25 GMT and Melbourne Stars will bowl first.
It's stopped raining again.
The groundstaff are trying to get the covers off as soon as possible but without shedding water on to the outfield.
Bat flip should be soon.

The bat flip has been delayed for now.
Ugh.
A shower has just hit the SCG.
The pitch cover is back on.
Hopefully the rain passes soon and doesn't delay the start by too much.

Revised playing conditions - 14 overs per side, four overs of powerplay and no timeouts.
Four bowlers can bowl three overs and one can bowl two.
The umpires are talking on TV and are very pleasantly surprised that we're going to get any cricket on this evening at all.
A terrific effort by the groundstaff at the SCG.
News! Positive news!
Provided there is no more rain, the bat flip will take place in just under 20 minutes at 09:00 GMT (20:00 local time).
That will mean a 09:15 GMT start and it will be a 14-over per side match.
The umpires are now talking to Sydney Sixers skipper Moises Henriques and Melbourne Stars captain Glenn Maxwell.
It seems they need more time for the groundstaff to mop up some damp patches in the outfield.

The umpires are out making their inspection.
The bowlers have started marking out their run ups and warm-ups are taking place.
There was a bit of a flurry of rain but it's stopped again. Inspection still due in just under five minutes.
For what it's worth, yesterday afternoon the BBC weather app was saying 100% chance of rain in Sydney at this time.
It's saying 57% - and it's not raining over the SCG at the moment.
Much better than expected.
A sense of urgency from the groundstaff to get the wicket and outfield ready now so the bat flip can take place quickly after the inspection if possible.
So if the worst comes to the worst and no play is possible tonight...here is what happens.
There is no reserve day so Sydney Sixers will be crowned Big Bash champions because there are effectively the top seeds in this final as hosts.
The Sixers finished second in the group stage and won the right to host the final by beating top side Melbourne Stars in the qualifier round.
The Stars subsequently beat Sydney Thunder in the challenger round to set up a rematch in the final, but as second seeds.
None of the previous eight Big Bash finals have been abandoned due to rain. Could this edition result in a reserve day being introduced in future?
A big cheer from the fans who have already made their way into the stands at the SCG.
The rest of the covers are coming off now.
