It'd be a shame if West Indies were badly hampered by injuries in this match. We want to see both teams going at each other. Shannon Gabriel is still out there but he isn't moving freely.

I guess the fact he's out there means it can't be that serious an injury.

Roston Chase will bowl the first over after drinks...

Jimmy Anderson has appeared in the England dressing room on and has a back pack on which gives a little bit of a secondary school vibe.

I wonder what he keeps in there? Is he a Sudoku man? Some colouring pencils? The players not playing need to find some way of filling their time.

    That's drinks.

Alzarri Joseph, who dismissed Joe Root earlier, is on for another bowl.

Sibley tries another reverse sweep and again makes no contact. He's trying at least.

Stokes shows him how to play the shot later in the over, hammering the ball to the boundary in a flash.

You won't want more shots like this then will you, Tom?

Tom Cunliffe: Keep the rate like this please chaps, my 1 week old daughter is fast asleep by the radio. Don’t want anything overly exciting waking her up. Much appreciated.

Sibley has a big step across that is actually a bit like a right-hander Shivnarine Chanderpaul. He's similarly slow-scoring too.

Jason Holder nips off the field at the end of his over. Hopefully nothing to worry about.

    Steve Smith? He's similarly unconventional.

Lots of people saying Sibley scores too slowly. Perhaps they're right. If so, who would be someone who has a similar natural style to Sibley that he can watch and learn from?

    Ed in Oxford

Dom Sibley has just tried to play a reverse sweep! It's like seeing your dad dance. Just wrong.

Sibley nearly gets bowled. Don't do that again.

Chris Podd: Perhaps not the most enthralling first two and a half sessions, but this is proper Test cricket. Grind the bowling side down to cash in late on.

We've just seen another shot of the England's balcony with Sam Curran fooling around with his hood up. Jos Buttler was perfectly positioned over his shoulder inside the dressing room watching on. He looked like Curran's big brother who had seen all of that silliness 100 times before.

You can see a distinct gear change in Ben Stokes now. He's looking to be a bit more proactive.

    Sibley 56, Stokes 34

Shot! Stokes has properly got hold of that one. It's the same shot as earlier in the over but he nails it and the West Indies fielder has to hop the advertising boards to retrieve the ball. Very Saturday afternoon.

  18. Eng 134-3published at 57.2 overs

Stokes might be getting a little twitchy at the scoring rate and has a big slog sweep. He hits it pretty well but the ball plugs in this damp, slow outfield.

The England all-rounder then steals a second when pushing the ball to Shannon Gabriel a ball later. There should not have been two there.

Bob: For the people moaning about Sibley - his strike rate is almost the same as Stokes.

Holder's impressive over ends with an appeal that was going well down the leg side. What's everyone up to? There's not a lot happening in this session.
