Shane Dowrich looks nervous as anything this morning. He has an ugly swipe at a pull before he connects with one that loops out for a single.

Jason Holder picks up a couple with a push through the covers. The England fielders were shout "only two, only two" there - they want Dowrich facing Jofra Archer.

Hmmm, Chris Woakes is going to share bowling duties this morning. He did this yesterday...

Need 30 more to avoid the follow-on

That will give Shane Dowrich some confidence.

Jofra Archer pitches one up and the wicketkeeper drives nicely through the covers for three. England had a very in-out field for him with two catchers at about fifth and sixth slip.

Jofra Archer is going to get us going as he finishes his over from last night.

Right, the players are making their way out to the middle. The skies are full of thick-ledden clouds again. A bowling day if ever there was one.

There will be 91.5 overs today, with a close of 6.03pm to make up for the time we lost yesterday.

We can - and let's face it weather/light permitting will - add 30 minutes to the end of play to get through the overs.

I should say, please be as imaginative but realistic as you like.

For example, as much as England would benefit from Steve Smith being blindfolded while batting in the Ashes in 16 months' time I can't imagine that's a rule that the ICC are going to sign off...

It's fair to say that former England captain Michael Vaughan was not a happy bunny when the players went off for bad light last night. He called the scenario "stupid" and urged the ICC to step in and alter the rules.

It got us thinking: What cricket rule/law would you change?

Today also marks the day that some spectators are allowed back to watch live cricket.

The two-day friendly between Surrey and Middlesex at The Oval is among the government's pilot events to get spectators back to sport. Around 1,000 members will be allowed access to the ground each day.

You'll be able to listen to commentary of that from 11:00 BST over here.

For anyone who actively followed Broady and Mollie on social media during the lockdown, she was learning how to bowl in their back garden.

I'm looking forward to her trying to replicate this pull shot this week when Broad is allowed home for a few days before the Pakistan series starts on 5 August...

Stuart Broad had a fantastic day yesterday scoring a swashbuckling 62 for his highest Test score in seven years.

He delivered with the ball too, taking 2-17 from his 10 overs.

His girlfriend, BBC Radio 1 DJ and Saturday's singer Mollie King took to Instagram to say she was "unbelievably proud" of Broad.

Who will Joe Root turn to with the ball this morning?

Jofra Archer has to start with the way that Shane Dowrich played him last night. Dowrich looked petrified and played a ball that only bounced to hip height about a foot off the ground.

Will it be Stuart Broad, James Anderson or Chris Woakes to join him?

I saw Shane Dowrich on his way from the hotel this morning. He's had a tough series with the gloves, got peppered by Jofra Archer last night and is set for the same again today. Flip flops, woolly hat, brew, worried look. He was a man on the way to the gallows.

  18. What is the weather saying?published at 10:39 British Summer Time 26 July 2020

Much to the surprise of everyone we managed to get a rain-uninterrupted day in yesterday.

We're looking at more of the same today according to the BBC forecast. However, another forecast is predicting a chance of showers between 14:00-16:00 BST.

Monday, however... the less said about that the better at the moment.

  19. Will Root enforce the follow-on?published at 10:37 British Summer Time 26 July 2020

I would imagine not. It's very rare that Joe Root does.

I think regardless of how many England bowl West Indies out for this morning he'll look to bat again and maybe put West Indies in for a tricky 30 minute spell tonight.

However, the quicker England wrap this game up the quicker they are going home to see their families. Could that play on Root's mind? He has got a new-born baby at home don't forget...

  20. What's the scenario?published at 10:34 British Summer Time 26 July 2020

We start day three with West Indies on 137-6, 232 runs behind England's first-innings total of 369.

Jason Holder and Shane Dowrich will resume on 24 and 10 not out respectively looking to get their side beyond the follow-on target of 170.

England will be looking to get the four wickets they need as soon as possible, ideally before the follow-on target so they can press home their strong advantage.
