It is a thick edge and I think Dom got into a good position there. He had his head and weight towards the bowler, which is not easy to do against a bowler bowling this fast.
Target 277
Four runs to Dom Sibley. It doesn't matter how he gets them...
The England opener gets on the front foot, drives and was probably aiming a little straight but gets four nonetheless.
Sibley has 21 from 66 balls. Perfectly acceptable.

So England's chase is on. Although "chase" doesn't seem like the right word to use when Sibley is at the crease. It's more like stalking.
Joe Root gets his single out to Mohammad Abbas on the deep point boundary. Sibley then takes a couple of steps down the pitch and tries to work Yasir away. He picks out the fielder but that's good, positive batting.

Joe Root needs careful batting with someone like Dom Sibley, who is doing an excellent job for England but doesn't rotate the strike much.
Target 277
This is a really good spell from 17-year-old quick Naseem. He has bowled four overs for just five runs and is unlucky not to have taken a wicket.

A terrific delivery - pace, bounce and away movement. Dominic Sibley didn't really do anything wrong.
Dom Sibley's heart must have been in his mouth there. He gets a healthy edge onto a ball from Naseem Shah but it drops just short of first slip.
Are the slips too deep? Maybe.

Mark: Joe Root has to start performing for England. His batting atm is average and his captaincy is not even that.
Emma: Would love to see Joe Root remind us what he can do - or will Stokes step up again?
Sibley 17, Root 7
There has been a bit of talk flying around this morning that England are going to try to be much more positive against Yasir Shah. They seem to think if you just a hang around there'll be a ball with your name on it.
Root gets a single in this over but there's not much else on offer.
What was all of this about when Rory Burns was dismissed?
I'm not complaining. I love to see a bit of niggle.

What a delivery, wow. Pace, bounce and carry. Rizwan took it by his shoulder.
Naseem Shah has just bowled an absolute snorter. Unplayable. Dom Sibley can only smile. Sibley was just fortunate not to edge it.

Root could have been dismissed there just like he was in the first innings. It was too close to cut. He needs to be careful.
Target 277
Joe! What was that?!
The England skipper tries to cut - just as he did in the first innings when he was dismissed by Yasir - and comes within a lick of paint of edging behind.
He turns away and shakes his head furiously.

I posed this question last night actually. The third Test in West Indies last year? The series was already lost at that point though. Root would love a score today and he flicks off his pads for a first boundary.
Yasir Shah is coming on. Gulp...

Tom: When was the last time Joe Root won a game for England?

They call Naseem Lillee-shah, after the great Australian fast bowler because their bowling styles are very similar.
