Today is my 35th birthday and I'm having to work. Could I please have a 5-fer from Jimmy? That Shan wicket had me leaping out my home office chair!
James, London
Tidy start from Sam Curran, targeting middle and leg stump. Again, there's a little bit of movement there but Abid Ali and Azhar Ali look pretty solid at the moment.

Stuart Broad was bent over at the end of that over. He isn't totally comfortable, having called for his inhaler a couple of overs ago.
Sam Curran is coming on to replace James Anderson.
He's in the team to get it swinging, but can he deliver?

Pakistan dominated 75% of that first game and just weren't able to close it out.
Stuart Broad is getting frustrated here. You can feel his tick-ometer ramping up all the time.
First of all he's annoyed at himself as he's not quite full enough to Abid Ali, who is barely getting forward at all.
Then he's got his hands on his knees as a thick inside edge goes past short leg and down to fine leg for a single.

Stuart Broad walked across the field this morning with his dad, the match referee.
It looked like the pair had made up after Broad senior fined his son during the first Test.
Broad junior's frustrations may increase again if these misses and drops continue.
Abid Ali knows he's in a battle here. He nods his head in acknowledgement of James Anderson's skill as the 38-year-old has the right-hander groping at one outside off stump.
Stuart Broad's inhaler arrives - despite Mark Wood initially misunderstanding the signal and bringing three different water bottles out...

The wobble seam. It's really good to watch from Stuart Broad but frustrating for him because it's just not finding the edge.
There's a little bit of movement there for England, not extravagant but just enough to keep them interested.
Four byes, which should have been leg byes, keep the score ticking.
It looks like Stuart Broad has just signaled to the England changing room for an inhaler or something along those lines. We'll keep an eye on that.
Without doubt, the GOAT.

That was the 62nd time Anderson has taken a wicket inside the first four overs of an innings - so inside his first two overs.
Abid Ali looks a nice, little compact player as he punches down the ground for a couple.
England are continuing to hone in on the pads of Azhar Ali but he's good enough to keep it out, for the time being at least.

Abid 6, Azhar 4
Stuart Broad has been good so far this morning - he's just finding a little bit of nip. Then again, you wouldn't expect anything else from someone who has taken 22 wickets in four Tests this summer.
Azhar Ali finally gets off the mark as he flicks into the on side for a couple. He has to make sure he hits that, though, because he leaves a huge gap between bat and pad.
He then pushes down the ground for a couple more. That shot had more confidence about it.
Here's how Shan Masood fell for just one...

Good start by England but they will be disappointed with the dropped catch. There is a bit of movement for the bowlers.

Alex Cunningham: Not the first time England have dived across one another in the cordon and dropped the catch... when will they learn they are too close?
There was talk of England's slip cordon being too close to one another at Old Trafford last week and that seems to be the case here. Dom Sibley and Rory Burns left and right feet respectively aren't far apart at all.
It doesn't matter how close they are with shots like that, though, as Abid Ali drives beautifully for four.
