It's a bit of a slow seamer, you need to be watchful. There's a lot of swing there but no pace. A good toss to win and a good toss to bat first on. But they will be disappointed with the Burns dismissal again.
A peach from Shaheen Afridi, the ball holding its line and whizzing past Dom Sibley's outside edge as he shuffles forward in defence.
Sibley plays a little awkwardly off his hip, the ball landing where short leg would be had Pakistan stuck one in.

Theo: England always seem to lose an early wicket and yet the Burns/Sibley opening partnership is the best since Strauss and Cook.
John Petrie: Burns has had a rough summer but we should stick with him through to the Ashes.
Rory Burns' scores in this series: 4, 10, 0, 6. Not easy, opening the batting.
A shake of the head from Mohammad Abbas as he once again rolls a ball into Dom Sibley's pads and watches it get punched away for four.

There's not much chatter out there from Pakistan. It was noisier in Old Trafford but it was quieter in the last game and not much going on out there at the moment.

It's a tricky time for Pakistan. Bowling first isn't what they wanted. Their strategy is to bat first and get close to the 300 mark.
And Shaheen follows it up with a beauty that just jags over the top of Zak Crawley's off stump!
A yorker follows and Crawley jabs his bat down, managing to send the ball through the slip cordon and away for four.
Well, you're not going to get a better ball than that first up...
A leg stump half-volley from Shaheen Afridi, and Zak Crawley gratefully whips it away for four. Lovely.
Zak Crawley has joined Dom Sibley out in the middle.

Burns has been tested a couple of times out there today. It was a good bit of fielding, it was coming at a sharp angle.
Burns c Masood b Shaheen 6 (Eng 12-1)
A terrific catch!
Rory Burns hasn't had the happiest of times against Pakistan, and it's another little fiddle outside off stump that proves his undoing. He pokes at this latest delivery from Shaheen Afridi, the outside edge goes low to second slip, and Shan Masood gets both hands down, fingers pointing upwards, and snaffles the catch. It went quickly to him and at an awkward angle, and he's done well to get there before the ball hit the turf.
Rory Burns is well within his rights to wait but this is a superb grab from Shan Masood, low to the ground, but it's gone straight into his hands...

Burns is holding his ground, he's not going anywhere yet, I think he wants to have that checked. It was an excellent catch.
This is out! Isn't it?
Rory Burns sends an outside edge straight to Shan Masood in the slip cordon, but the umpire wants another look...
Dom Sibley gets turned around, bat coming across his front pad, but an outside edge scampers past the slip cordon and away for a single.
I like the idea that even England's greatest Test bowler has to go and get the teas in.

Jimmy Anderson has reemerged from the hotel, carrying a couple of brown paper bags. Brew run?
Sibley 5, Burns 6
Tidy as ever from Mohammad Abbas, but Dom Sibley takes advantage of a leg stump gift and tickles a single to end the over.
It's all very serene at the minute.

All happening. Mild panic when I thought I'd left my laptop charger at home, only for it to be found in my hotel room. I've seen Ben Foakes pushing one of those hotel luggage trollies around, big smile on his face, like the world's most handsome porter. Jimmy Anderson, hair getting younger as he gets older, has come back to the hotel after the news that England will bat first. I'm not advocating an England collapse, but I like the idea of him having to emerge from the hotel with his pads on.
