Crawley st Rizwan b Shafiq 267 (Eng 486-5)
A superb innings is over.
It's Asad Shafiq who claims the wicket, Zak Crawley stumped down the leg side, but what a performance this has been. Every single Pakistan player raced over to Crawley to congratulate him as he left the field, and he gets an ovation from both dressing rooms, including an impressed Misbah-ul-Haq.
What a day.
It's 267 and counting for Zak Crawley...

Ex-England women's batter on Test Match Special
I wonder if England go to 500 or 550 and then look to declare. They have plenty of time to bowl Pakistan out a couple of times but they might also want a little go at them today.
Shaheen appeals for an lbw that's so speculative not even Mohammad Rizwan goes up for it, before Jos Buttler misses a big, booming drive outside off stump.
Australia fans: is this what it felt like when Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne were batting for eternity? Because I'm rather enjoying it.
Andy Zaltzman
Test Match Special statistician
That takes Crawley into the top 10 of England's highest individual scores in Test cricket. Next on his list is Denis Compton's 278.
Shaheen Afridi, figures of 1-100 to his name, has come back.

Reversing-sweeping a delivery from two feet outside leg stump to extra cover for four is Pietersen-esque.

Crawley 267, Butler 136
Switch hit for four!
Zak Crawley is absolutely superb.
That'll be the 350 partnership notched up...

That was a horrible ball. Poor old Abbas, he tried something different there and it went wrong.
Michael Vaughan
Ex-England captain on BBC Test Match Special
If you think about Buttler, a player with power and all the tricks, he's just kept himself in his bubble beautifully today. He's just batted, knocked it around and not taken too many risks.
Mohammad Abbas gets through a quiet over - well, right up until his final ball, which is a rank, leg side full toss that poor Mohammad Rizwan cannot get anywhere near.
Enjoy some Zak Crawley magic.
Crawley 260, Buttler 134
Asad Shafiq is bowling because, at this stage, why not?
If this doesn't end in Mohammad Rizwan turning his arm over then, frankly, I'll be furious.
Just amused myself by looking up Karun Nair's career stats.
His six Tests reaped scores of 4, 13, 303*, 26, 0, 23, 5.
Bit of an anomaly in there, isn't it?

Partnership 339 off 538 balls
A thick outside edge from Zak Crawley as he swings hard at Mohammad Abbas, but there's no third man and the double centurion picks up four.
Possibly my favourite shot of the day.
