You can analyse that drop as many times as you want, you can say the ball is wobbling - but it's just concentration. A lapse for that split second.

I think Jos Buttler intimidates the opposition - especially the sub-Contintental sides who see him in the IPL crashing it to all parts of the ground. At Old Trafford, the field went out as soon as he came in.

Some umpires have emerged - I think it might have stopped raining.

There's an awful lot of water on those covers, mind.

    Cheers, Kal.

I spent the lunch break doing my Italian homework. Turns out trying to learn past participles is just as frustrating as rain delays in cricket. Who'd have thought it?

And with that, I will bid you farewell for now and tag in Amy Lofthouse. Hopefully she brings some good weather too.

No cricket happening at the moment but I'm sure the question on your lips right now is: How did Tuffers perform on dinner duty last night?

All of the world's opposition coaches and analysts will have watched Zak Crawley's innings here and come to the conclusion he doesn't have any weaknesses!

He really did bat beautifully, didn't he?

What Zak Crawley has got is a game where it's difficult for the opposition to keep him quiet. He is England's find of the summer - what England need to be number one in the world is big runs and in Zak Crawley we can see a player who can transfer his game to India and Australia.

Stuart Broad is the kind of player who needs a prod every now and again. You can make a case to say it was a masterstroke by the selectors to drop him. He's got that energy and bounce back.

I think it was a good decision to drop Stuart Broad - he's one of those players who responds well, and comes back with a bit of fire. I could understand the reasons for leaving him out - that England wanted to go with pace long-term - but what he has done has changed the narrative.

All of the players in the vote for player of the summer have got a back story, starting with Stuart Broad. He was not selected for the first Test and was quite vocal about it, but his figures since then are staggering.
