  2. Pak 33-2published at 4.4 overs

Mohammad Hafeez is out in the middle now. He was playing for Pakistan when his partner Haider Ali was still in nappies.

That was too good for Babar Azam. It's a good sign for England.

That came back in sharply at Babar, who looks less than gruntled with that.

    Babar b T Curran 21 (Pak 32-2)

The changes work for England. Eoin Morgan swaps his bowlers again, introducing Tom Curran and the seamer nabs the big wicket of Babar with his second ball.

It was full and Babar was trying to fiddle it away. Castled.

Fakhar looked entirely bemused. The stump was hanging back like a crooked tooth.

  7. Pak 32-1published at 4 overs

    Babar 21, Haider 9

A tidy start from Chris Jordan. Five from his first, one of them a leg bye.

Babar has scored more than 1,000 runs in his past 25 T20 matches. Only two other players have managed that - Aaron Finch and Virat Kohli.

  9. Pak 29-1published at 3.3 overs

Chris Jordan is into the attack. It was one wicket-taking over and out for Moeen.

Babar nails Jordan's first ball back at him with a glorious drive but the England quick gets a hand down to stop it.

David Emanuel: Nice to see Moeen strike early. Could this be a return to form?

  11. Pak 27-1published at 3 overs

    Babar 17, Haider 9

Babar Azam is absolutely in the best five players to watch in the world. I'll argue with anyone who disagrees.

He adds a third boundary in a row with a delicate guide down to third man.

    An action-packed start.

That was a marmalising shot from Babar.

I do love watching Babar Azam. I prefer watching him from up here then bowling at him. He makes you feel slow as a bowler - and as a medium-pace bowler like myself, it's not ideal...

  14. Pak 22-1published at 2.4 overs

If we were in any doubt after the first over whether this would be a run fest, I think we can now confirm it will be.

Babar, not quite at his elegant best, clobbers Mahmood for two boundaries. One is down the ground and the second through mid-wicket.

It's always exciting when a player you've heard a great deal about comes in and hits his second ball for six. Echoes of David Gower in the 1980s.

  16. Pak 12-1published at 2 overs

    Babar 3, Haider 8

Haider is another of those youngsters who makes you feel old - born in October 2000. He's an elegant-looking right-hander.

Haider has walloped that! His second ball in international cricket... that's confidence!

I think I'm going to like Haider Ali...

He clobbers his second ball in international cricket for six over mid-wicket.

Blimey. A first wicket since February! Moeen will be feeling a lot better now.

That's Moeen Ali's first white-ball wicket this summer and his first wicket since February. Before that he had bowled 34 wicketless overs.
