Cricket Ireland chief executive Warren Deutrom on TMS: "To be chasing 173... we'd probably have taken that at 28-5."
Here's how David Willey wrapped up the innings and his first international five-wicket haul.
Former England all-rounder Paul Collingwood is in charge of the side for this three-game series with Chris Silverwood concentrating on Test cricket.
Collingwood has been talking to the Stumped podcast about the bio-secure bubble that the two sides are in.
"It is really good. We have had 24 players right from the start so the work we have been able to do with them is exceptional," Collingwood said.
"To see the next group of players that are coming through, to see the skill level from these guys has been fantastic so we got great facilities here in Hampshire.
"Obviously we have the hotel here on the ground and then the training facilities themselves have been brilliant, it has been perfect."

I don’t mean to be grumpy but they’ve just put the floodlights on despite the glorious sunshine.
Lancashire quick Saqib Mahmood bowled well for England too.
He has a simple, uncomplicated, strong action and looks certain to have a strong future in international cricket.

England will probably get their runs with a lot of time to spare one assumes, but sometimes things can go awry chasing a small target.
A special mention for Curtis Campher too.
At just 21, on debut, to come in with your side 28-5 and make 59 not out is a very good effort.
He looked composed and played a very sensible innings. A few of his team mates could do worse than learning from the young man.

No-one will begrudge Willey, it must have been a hard pill to swallow being dropped from the World Cup squad having been a mainstay of the team for four years. He will probably have to work harder for his wickets in future.
Worth a reminder that this is David Willey's first ODI since being left out of the World Cup squad last summer.
Taking 5-30 is a pretty good way to re-introduce yourself to international cricket.

England are fantastic at chasing 270, or even 370, but 170 they won't know what to do!
Young c Roy b Willey 11 (Ire 172 all out)
All over.
Craig Young shanks one and Jason Roy takes a good, diving catch low down at mid-off.
David Willey has a first career five-wicket haul and that's the best figures by an English bowler at the Ageas Bowl.
England will need 173 to win the first ODI, take a 1-0 series lead and get 10 points in the ICC World Cup Super League.

The innings is still going, that's the amazing thing. At 28-5 the anticipation was that this was going to be an anti-climax.
For a number 11 Craig Young looks to have a decent set-up, he's up to nine. While, Curtis Campher is just doing what he's been doing since the sixth over - just ticking the innings along.
His strike-rate is below 50 but his 59 has at least allowed Ireland to post a total.
Shot!
It's a decent yorker from Saqib Mahmood but Ireland number 11 Craig Young punches it back the ground for four.
Here's how the eighth Ireland wicket - that of Andy McBrine - fell.

Growing up in South Africa on those bouncy wickets out there you can tell Campher is comfortable with the short ball.
After Ireland pick up three singles David Willey bangs a couple in halfway down the pitch to limit the scoring.
He's running out of opportunities to get that five-wicket haul, though.

I’ve just bumped into TMS’ Michael McNamee in the corridor - not literally of course in these times of social distancing. I wouldn’t say he was thrilled with Ireland’s performance but he is happier than he was at 14:30.
Ireland number 11 Craig Young takes a single off the final delivery of Saqib Mahmood's over to keep the strike.
England won't mind that.

Very odd option at this stage when you've got Campher well set. McCarthy is a useful striker and could have hung around. A lot of them will think they haven't taken the right option at the right time.
