    McCarthy c Vince b Mahmood 3 (Ire 156-9)

And there's one of the two wickets needed to wrap it up.

Again it's a soft dismissal from Ireland. Barry McCarthy is the number 10, he just needs to rotate the strike as quickly as possible and get Curtis Campher back on strike but he tries to flick the pace of Saqib Mahmood for six and picks out James Vince on the square-leg fence.

He didn't have to move an inch.

Saqib Mahmood is back into the attack.

Eoin Morgan wants this wrapped up.

David Willey has been a great addition to the England set-up, the Irish batsmen never came to terms with his accuracy.

  4. Ire 156-8published at 41 overs

David Willey's best figures in ODI cricket are 4-34 so far, can he pick up that elusive five-wicket haul?

He's got three more overs to get it.

David Willey, who took 4-20 in his opening burst of six overs, is back on.

One of the reasons he was left out of the World Cup squad was because there was a theory that he wasn't effective at the death. What can he do here?

To a man that is going to hurt. The ache will kick in now from personal experience.

  7. Ire 152-8published at 40 overs

Curtis Campher scampers through for a couple more but now he's down on his haunches as Tom Curran hits him in the inner groin region. He takes a moment to compose himself.

This is now the highest score by a debutant, against England, since India's Robin Uthappa in April 2006.

Moeen has done a great job, it was a lovely time for him to bowl, he kept a good line very tight to the off-stump, showing his class and experience.

A few of the Ireland players not in today’s squad appeared on their balconies to applaud Curtis Campher’s fifty.

It hasn’t been too flamboyant an innings but things could have got really ugly for Ireland without it.

  10. Ire 148-8published at 39 overs

    Campher 52, McCarthy 1

Andy McBrine hung his head and had a pained expression on his face as he walked off there. He knew his side needed him to stay in the middle with Curtis Campher.

Moeen Ali finishes his 10 overs - he's recorded figures of 0-36.

That was poor cricket, there is still a long way to go, it was important he stayed in there with Campher. Going hard a little too early. It has been a running theme throughout the innings.

  12. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 38 overs

    McBrine c Billings b Curran 40 (Ire 185-8)

Ah, Andy McBrine was starting to up the ante for Ireland but he's gone.

After hitting back-to-back boundaries through point, he attempts to pull a shorter ball from Tom Curran but cloths it and Sam Billings - who normally wears the gloves, don't forget - takes a down catch, diving forward, at deep square-leg.

Ireland could do with a few more of these in the remaining 13 overs!

Really impressive from Campher, hopefully setting him up for a successful international career.

    Ire 135-7

    Well batted, Curtis Campher.

To come in on debut when your team are 28-5 and score a maiden half-century is a very good effort indeed. His game looks uncomplicated and it's held him in good stead so far today.

  16. Ire 133-7published at 36.2 overs

Big appeal from Moeen Ali and mainly Jonny Bairstow as Curtis Campher is struck on the back leg. I think that's sliding down and Eoin Morgan - who looks ridiculous with two caps on his head - agrees.

There are not many things that frustrate you more as a bowler than a top edge over the keeper.

  18. Ire 131-7published at 36 overs

    Campher 48, McBrine 38

Andy McBrine is starting to show a little bit more intent now.

He attempts a pull shot, but doesn't get the timing right, and a top edge flies over Jonny Bairstow and trickles away for four.

That's the 50 partnership. They've batted well this pair.

Tom Curran is coming back on to replace Saqib Mahmood, who will have three overs left at the back end of the innings.

If you can get to 200 I think they will take that at this stage. Can they maybe target the spin a bit?
