You may be able to spot Mark Adair, who had to go and retrieve the ball after the Morgan six. There are no fans to throw the ball back and no-one else is supposed to touch the ball.

A superb innings so far from Tom Banton.

  3. Eng 171-3published at 24 overs

Another expensive over for Ireland with 11 coming off it.

The partnership is worth 127 in just under 16 overs. It's been magnificent.

    Well batted Tom Banton!

A maiden ODI half-century for the Somerset man and much-needed for England.

This is now Tom Banton's highest score for England.

Yesterday in a press conference he talked about he had found it difficult adapting to batting in the middle order compared to his usual position as opener at Somerset.

"I'm not going to lie, it does feel unnatural at the moment," Banton said. "It's about giving myself a chance, because I know I can catch up."

He's taken his own advice today.

  6. 6 runs

    Eng 166-3published at 23.1 overs

It's Tom Banton's turn to get into the six action now.

He again comes down the pitch and just plants Andy McBrine about six rows back over mid-wicket. That was effortless.

This drop has already cost Ireland 22 runs.

How many more will it cost them?

That is enormous from Eoin Morgan. That cleared the seating and went onto the concourse.

  9. 6 runs

    Eng 160-3published at 23 overs

    Morgan 89, Banton 43

Ireland are persisting with the short-ball tactic against Eoin Morgan. It didn't work earlier and it's not working now either as the England skipper pulls behind square for six.

That's 13 runs off Josh Little's fourth over. It's all unravelling a little bit for Ireland.

Ireland are finding it too difficult to hold this together.

Josh Little has made that chance look tougher than it actually was. He made a meal of it.

  12. Eng 147-3published at 22 overs

    Morgan 80, Banton 39

Oh, that's a slice of luck for Eoin Morgan! He doesn't quite get hold of one down the ground, but Josh Little is trying to cover two positions in deep mid-on and deep mid-wicket and can't quite get round in time. It bounces just over his head and away for four.

There's another boundary off the final ball as Morgan sweeps hard for four to bring up the hundred partnership between Morgan and Tom Banton in 13.5 overs.

They've finally spotted that and corrected it.

That was given six but it actually bounced before the rope.

  15. Eng 139-3published at 21 overs

Tom Banton looks really settled now.

He takes another step down the pitch and crunches a pull shot for four. Gareth Delany almost pulls it back in but he can only flick the ball against his trailing arm and it goes away for four.

A thick edge then flies away for four - which was originally given as six by Martin Saggers.

I make it 32 people - photographers, camera operators, groundstaff, medics and officials - in the ground today.

  17. Eng 129-3published at 20 overs

More good stuff from Tom Banton as he hits Andy McBrine back over his head for another four.

This partnership is worth 85 in just 11.5 overs now.

Eoin Morgan loves his ground, including today's knock he averages 79.66 here.

  19. Eng 123-3published at 19 overs

The battle between Tom Banton and Curtis Campher is an intriguing one.

Campher has got him twice in the series and in an under-19 World Cup when he was representing South Africa.

Banton strides down the pitch looking to unsettle Campher before having a horrible woft at one outside off-stump.

There are temperature and security checkpoints in various places around the ground. This one is the one to work from. It’s the only one with the slightest pitch view
